Women's footwear and handbag designer

Magda Butrym is looking for a Women's Footwear and Handbag Designer to join its creative team. Key responsibilities: Working closely with the Creative Director and other members of design teams on creating and developing new seasonal collections. This will include but not be limited to conducting primary research, developing mood boards, concepts, developing technical drawings and molds in cooperation with suppliers. Working on all stages of collection and product development, from brainstorming ideas to the final product. Creating sketches and technical files for shoes, bags and small leather goods. Partnering closely with the Project Management team throughout the sampling process, ensuring timely execution, alignment across stakeholders and smooth product development workflows. Providing pre-production feedback on samples, reviewing construction, materials, proportions, finishing and overall product readiness prior to production approval. Researching suppliers, materials and leather developments, supporting sourcing decisions and contributing to the selection of materials aligned with the brand's creative and quality standards. Participating in fittings. Briefing and collaborating with manufacturers and component suppliers. Travelling to meet with suppliers and manufacturers. Additional activities: A chance to work on exciting new projects, runway shows, capsule collections, collaborations, and product launches. Brainstorming of creative ideas, photo/video shoot concepts and supporting the marketing and PR teams with creative inputs. Opportunities to take part in design, creation and visualization of Magda Butrym show sets, installations, corners and boutiques, pop ups and events. Requirements: No less than 5 years of experience working for a leading fashion brands Understanding of Magda Butrym brand aesthetic Working proficiency in English Knowledge of graphic design software such as Illustrator/Photoshop/In Design Being a team player Willingness to take on a wide range of tasks and responsibilities Ability to work under time pressure Why work with us: Magda Butrym offers a great opportunity to become part of one of the fastest developing high fashion brands.
