Automation Engineer

Overview

As Automation Engineer, you design, test, implement and operate automation systems to streamline production, boost productivity, and maintain quality in compliance with internal standards. You will be the reference for automation topics within the engineering team and collaborate closely with production, maintenance, and suppliers on current and future processes. A global role links the Italy and China plants to scale automation across the production chain. You drive technical specifications, system architecture, and control logic, and you train technicians and operators to start up and run automated systems.

Responsabilità

• Design and develop automation solutions for production processes
• Collaborate with production and maintenance for new launches and improvements
• Engage with suppliers to define system architecture and oversee external design
• Develop software and prototypes in early concept phases
• Create mathematical models, diagrams and technical drawings for automation projects
• Program control systems (PLC) and SCADA interfaces
• Implement automated processes and test robotic components
• Produce technical documentation and training materials
• Troubleshoot automation issues with maintenance to restore operations
