Develops software including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases and Internet-related tools. Determines hardware compatibility and/or influences hardware design. /p h3Management Level Definition /h3 pContributions include applying intermediate level of subject matter expertise to solve common technical problems. Acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and recommendations for appropriate action. Works independently within an established framework and with moderate supervision. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liDesigns limited enhancements, updates, and programming changes for portions and subsystems of systems software, including operating systems, compliers, networking, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools. /li liAnalyzes design and determines coding, programming, and integration activities required based on specific objectives and established project guidelines. /li liExecutes and writes portions of testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of application; identifies and debugs issues with code and suggests changes or improvements. /li liParticipates as a member of project team of other software systems engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for assigned systems portion or subsystem. /li liCollaborates and communicates with internal and outsourced development partners regarding software systems design status, project progress, and issue resolution. /li /ul h3Education And Experience Required /h3 ul liBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent. /li liTypically 2-4 years experience. /li liExperience designing and developing backend or distributed software systems. /li liFluent in English and Italian. /li /ul h3Technical Skills /h3 h3Mandatory /h3 ul liStrong knowledge of SW development languages for backend . /li liSolid experience with Linux operating systems and networking fundamentals. /li liGood understanding of IP networking, including the major Layer 2/Layer 3 protocols. /li liExperience with software development best practices, version control systems (Git), and issue-tracking platforms. /li liExperience with software testing, debugging, and troubleshooting methodologies. /li liStrong analytical and problem-solving skills. /li /ul h3Preferred /h3 ul liExperience with 4G/LTE and 5G Core Networks. /li liFamiliarity with Linux kernel networking concepts and the network stack. /li liExperience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native environments. /li liExposure to telecommunications protocols and network function architectures. /li liKnowledge of IP advanced routing, including protocols such as BGP and OSPF. /li liUnderstanding of microservices and distributed systems design principles. /li /ul h3What We Can Offer You /h3 h3Health Wellbeing /h3 pWe strive to provide our team members and their loved ones with a comprehensive suite of benefits that supports their physical, financial and emotional wellbeing. /p h3Personal Professional Development /h3 pWe also invest in your career because the better you are, the better we all are.
