Overview

In this role you will validate SSD firmware for datacenter applications, partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure robust coverage of product requirements. You’ll leverage AI‑enabled tools to speed test creation and contribute to industry‑leading storage solutions. You’ll focus on improving firmware robustness through thorough testing and analysis, shaping how Micron’s SSD products meet market needs. This is a hands‑on role at the heart of SSD innovation with meaningful impact on product quality and reliability.Responsibilities

  • Build and develop known, grey‑box, and closed system validation tests for SSD firmware used in datacenter applications
  • Partner with firmware, hardware, and product development teams to translate product requirements into effective and scalable validation coverage
  • Create, execute, and analyze test plans that verify functionality, quality, and reliability across the SSD development lifecycle, with a strong focus on identifying firmware issues and improving overall product robustness
  • Use C, Python, and automation frameworks to accelerate firmware bug finding, support debug and root‑cause analysis, and collaborate closely with the firmware team to drive effective issue resolution and continuous improvement of validation methodologies
  • Take advantage of AI‑supported development and validation tools to speed up test creation and contribute to industry‑leading storage solutions
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent
  • Proven programming skills in C and Python
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Willingness to travel, including international and intercontinental business trips, as needed
