ph3Robotics Hardware Engineer – Underwater Robotics /h3pWe’re looking for someone who knows their way around brobot hardware /b and likes getting things built. /ppYou’ll work on the bdevelopment, assembly and testing /bof our bunderwater robots /b, taking bresponsibility for hardware decisions /b and following them through to btrials in the water /b. /ph3What you’ll do: /h3ulliIntegrate thrusters, batteries, power electronics, sensors and onboard computers. /liliBuild and troubleshoot wiring, connectors and watertight enclosures. /liliWork on sealing, buoyancy, balance and component accessibility. /liliPosition and calibrate cameras, lights and sonar, considering how they perform underwater. /liliRun bench and water tests, identify faults and improve the next prototype. /liliTake hardware decisions from initial integration through to real-world testing. /li /ulh3What we’re looking for: /h3ulliYou have practical robotics experience, confidence at the workbench and the patience to understand why something isn’t working. /liliYou understand the constraints of underwater systems and how hardware integration affects sensing and perception. /liliYou’re comfortable working independently, discussing technical choices with the team and revising your approach after testing. /li /ulh3Working at Seamorph: /h3pYou’ll be close to the product and directly involved in the decisions that shape it. As the company develops, there will be room to grow technically and take on more responsibility. /ppWe work around agreed milestones, with no fixed 9-to-6 schedule.
