Robotic hardware engineer

Experteer Overview In this role you will contribute to perception, planning, and control for autonomous vessels, integrating hardware and software across sensors and actuators. You’ll work closely with cross‑functional teams to prototype, test, and validate robotic systems in real environments. The position offers hands‑on problem solving, field testing, and the chance to shape Mirai’s sensor‑fusion and autonomy platform at scale. Retribuzione / Benefits Contribute to perception, planning, and control modules for autonomous vessels Support reinforcement learning models and autonomous behaviors Work with ROS2, Isaac ROS, Py Torch, and NVIDIA simulation tools Integrate sensors, actuators, and control systems on unmanned vehicles Assemble and bring up hardware prototypes (compute, power, electronics) Integrate and validate multi‑sensor stacks (Li DAR, radar, vision, GNSS, IMU) Support development of sensor‑fusion hardware platform Lead or support rapid prototyping of autonomous vessel configurations Run simulations, feasibility studies, and performance evaluations Execute test plans and troubleshoot integration issues in real environments Collaborate with mechanical, systems, and software teams Contribute to documentation and integration processes Responsabilità Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field Strong hands‑on robotics experience (tinkering, soldering, prototyping, testing) EU passport or unrestricted right to work in Italy On‑site availability in Bari/Taranto area (Puglia) Hands‑on experience with robotics hardware and sensor integration Proficiency in Python, C++, and ROS Experience with ROS2, PX4 / Ardu Pilot or similar autopilot stacks Experience with rapid prototyping (3 D printing, mechanical assembly, electronics bring‑up) Comfort with field testing and on‑water prototyping #J-18808-Ljbffr
