Overview
As a GTE Project Contract Manager, you shape contract strategy for energy projects and drive value through effective management of commercial aspects. You work within a global, matrix environment to ensure contracts align with project goals and mitigate risks. You will navigate variations, disputes and settlements to protect payments and project outcomes. This role blends technical understanding of oil and gas with strong contract leadership to enable timely, compliant delivery. You will collaborate across teams to support business objectives and enable responsible energy delivery.Responsibilities
- Manage project contracts from award to commercial operation, tracking and reporting contractual elements
- Prepare contract summaries, transfer documents, and flag residual commercial risks to the project team
- Archive contractual documentation and key project correspondence
- Support contract variations when cost impacts arise
- Assist PM/PD and team with contract matters and key correspondence
- Support resolution of disputes/claims to avoid legal escalation and unlock payments
- Maintain a claims tracker and report contract management KPIs
- Monitor project financial exposure including outstanding payments, unbilled amounts and bank guarantees
- Assist in claim negotiations and coordinate with legal for favorable settlements
- Inform leadership and legal of potential litigation and support litigation management
- Identify and share contractual lessons learned with commercial
- Address contractual issues with suppliers, subcontractors or partners as appropriate
- Master's degree in Engineering
- Analytical skills for contractual clauses and contracting methods
- Experience in Early Dispute Resolution and claims negotiation
- Strong interpersonal, influencing and leadership skills
- Team player with excellent English communication
- Strong organizational and project management skills in a global, matrix environment
- Ability to work with remote teams and manage many tasks
