Brings energy and ownership to keeping employees productive, sets clear expectations with stakeholders and vendors, and consistently delivers. /p h3Main tasks responsibilities: /h3 ul liLead and line manage the IT operations enterprise applications team — setting priorities, driving quality of delivery, and developing the team /li liOwn the operational IT roadmap across GWS / Microsoft 365, MDM, network, SaaS stack, ERP/CRM, and iPaaS integrations /li liGovern Microsoft 365 and Entra ID (Azure AD) at an architectural level, ensuring security compliance and lifecycle management /li liOversee MDM strategy and tooling (Intune / Jamf) for endpoint compliance across all geographies /li liManage network, VPN, and office connectivity across South Pole's global locations /li liOwn the SaaS application portfolio — licence governance, access reviews, renewals, and rationalisation /li liGovern ERP and CRM administration — configuration integrity, data quality, and Finance / Commercial stakeholder liaison /li liManage IT outsourcing relationships — service desk vendor, managed service providers, and specialist contractors — holding them to SLAs and quality standards /li liLead vendor management for all IT operational technology suppliers — contract renewals, performance reviews, and escalations /li liCoordinate multi‑timezone IT support, ensuring a consistent end‑user experience across South Pole's 20+ country footprint /li liGovern ITSM practice — ticket workflows, escalation paths, SLA reporting, and continual service improvement /li liAct as primary business stakeholder liaison for IT operations, translating business needs intoIT service changes /li liDrive the adoption and implementation of AI/ML tools to automate and optimize key IT operations workflows (e.g., ITSM, monitoring, and proactive support). /li liWork closely with the Security Lead to ensure operational IT meets security and compliance requirements /li /ul h3Requirements: /h3 h3Essential /h3 ul li7+ years in IT operations or IT management, with 3+ years in a leadership role managing a team /li liHands‑on experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and MDM platforms (Intune / Jamf) /li liFamiliarity with GWS (Google Workspace) in addition to Microsoft 365 /li liProven vendor management and IT outsourcing management experience - contract negotiation, SLA governance, and performance management /li liStrong ITSM background (Jira Service Management, or equivalent) /li liExperience managing a SaaS application portfolio /li liERP and/or CRM administration or oversight experience /li liTrack record of leading distributed IT support across multiple time zones and geographies /li liBudget management and financial governance experience /li /ul h3Desirable /h3 ul liITIL v4 certification /li liExperience in a global professional services, climate, or sustainability organisation /li liMicrosoft 365 or Azure certifications /li liNetwork and VPN infrastructure management experience at an enterprise scale /li liFamiliarity with Microsoft Power Platform or equivalent low-code automation /li /ul h3Technical Skills /h3 ul liM365 /li liGWS/GCP /li liEntra ID /li liMDM (Intune/Jamf) /li liNetwork / VPN /li liSaaS governance /li liERP / CRM administration /li liiPaaS / integration tooling /li liITSM /li /ul h3AI Skills /h3 ul liAI-assisted IT operations awareness /li /ul h3Leadership / Soft Skills /h3 ul liTeam leadership /li liVendor management /li liIT outsourcing management /li liBusiness stakeholder liaison /li liBudget ownership /li liMulti-timezone coordination /li /ul pAt South Pole, we care about our employees as much as we care about the planet.
