As a Senior Aeroderivative turbine Mechanical Field Service Engineer, you will lead on‑site activities for global customers, ensuring safe installation, maintenance, and repair of aeroderivative turbines. You’ll manage teams, coordinate with subcontractors, and uphold strict EHS and quality standards. This role combines hands‑on turbine work with troubleshooting, turnover, and commissioning at customer sites. You will advance your product knowledge in a dynamic energy technology environment and play a key role in safety, service quality, and customer satisfaction.Retribuzione / Benefits
- Provide technical direction for on‑site activities to internal teams and skilled labor to ensure safety, compliance and quality
- Perform mechanical and hydraulic maintenance, repair or replacement of parts as directed
- Use hand tools and small power tools for maintenance of Aeroderivative Gas Turbines
- Execute on‑site duties, including coordination of sub‑contractors and communication with customers and internal teams
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical and hydraulic issues on variable pitch/variable speed turbines
- Oversee, troubleshoot and commission Aeroderivative products at customer sites
- Demonstrate extensive experience in advanced site maintenance on AERO engines (e.g., hot section replacement, Top case)
- Address mechanical activities on gas turbines and troubleshoot related packages, BOP and auxiliary systems
- Lead customer and contractor meetings to update action plans and propose technical solutions
- Ensure safety, compliance and quality documentation is up‑to‑date according to company standards
- Ensure in‑field activities comply with EHS guidelines and procedures
- Travel to customer sites globally (approximately 70% of the time) and assist with engine swaps and other maintenance tasks
- 6+ years as a mechanical technician on aircraft engines, aero‑derivative engines, or turbine technologies
- Solid mechanical/technical and oral communication skills
- Experience with installation and maintenance of rotating equipment (bolting, hydraulic bolting, flange management, small bore piping)
- Extensive experience with gas turbine maintenance activities
- Experience in a mechanical role within energy or oil & gas environments
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to guide customers through technical decisions
- Ability to communicate complex technical information to diverse audiences
- Awareness of Health, Safety and Environmental compliance and risk
- Self‑motivated with decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities
- Good command of English
- Willingness to travel globally (~70%)
