High-temperature coatings engineer (thermal spray) (f/m/d)

We are seeking a highly motivated person with experience in coating technologies such as painting and plating. You will be part of a team that is responsible for the definition of internal standards for coating processes. Responsibilities Define internal standards for coating processes for gas turbine applications (thermal spray, diffusive coatings, …) Develop innovative coatings and technologies, from R&D to full industrialization Qualify external suppliers. Resolve non-conformities and deviations in coating processes. Qualifications Have a MSc or Ph D in Materials Engineering, Chemistry or similar. Have technical expertise on coating processes, particularly on thermal spray and coatings for high temperature application, materials/coatings characterization and testing. Proven experience in research and development, managing collaborations with universities and external laboratories, and leading process industrialization activities. Have excellent communication and written skills in English. Be able to demonstrate effective leadership skills with the ability to influence and build relationships with the team and the internal and external customers. Be able to travel internationally. Be a self-starter, proactively taking the initiative to solve problems and provide solutions. Salary adjustments will be made according to the provisions of Contratto Collettivo Industria Metalmeccanica e della installazione di impianti, Section VI – Titolo IV of that collective bargaining agreement.
