Manufacturing Quality Engineer

Overview

In this role you will strengthen quality across the Malta site by resolving production issues and driving root cause analysis. You will lead a cross-functional team to deliver timely 8D reports, corrective actions, and disposition decisions, while safeguarding documentation and process control. You will champion Six Sigma/ DMAIC initiatives to improve processes and product quality, including management of non-conforming material. This is a hands-on quality leadership role within a modern, multinational semiconductor setting.

Responsabilità

• Resolve production issues impacting plant productivity, deliveries, and quality
• Lead a team in preparing and delivering Internal Incident Reports
• Coordinate Root Cause Analysis and Permanent Corrective Actions; present 8D reports to Malta management
• Manage non-conforming material and monitor related metrics
• Ensure document control flow in DMS
• Drive quality initiatives using Six Sigma and DMAIC
• Certify QC Operators
• Review QC rejects at raw line and finishing stages and define disposition

Requisiti fondamentali

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering
• 5 years of experience in Industrial Quality role
• Knowledge of 8D reporting and methodology, FMEA, and SPC
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 standards
• Experience in managing non-standard material (asset)
• Business-level English
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office
