As Technical Product Owner for Optix Engineering, you translate product intent and architecture into actionable backlog work for software teams. You own and refine the engineering backlog for one or more products, ensuring clarity, priority, and readiness for Scrum/Kanban delivery in a complex, integration-heavy setting. You collaborate with product, architecture, and engineering to maintain technical coherence and align with multi-campus execution. This role combines engineering rigor with cross‑functional collaboration to deliver high‑quality software‑enabled solutions in an industrial context.Responsibilities
- Own and maintain the engineering backlog (epics, capabilities, enablers, stories) with clear acceptance criteria and readiness for execution
- Translate requirements and architectural intent into technically sound backlog items and enforce traceability when needed
- Collaborate with Product Managers to align goals, scope, and priorities, balancing engineering feasibility
- Work with Architects and Technical Leads to evolve system architecture and cross‑component dependencies
- Support 2–3 cross‑functional software teams with continuous clarification and fast feedback on technical scope
- Participate in Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning, Reviews, and release activities to ensure shared understanding
- Partner with Scrum Masters to improve flow, predictability, and delivery transparency
- Ensure quality, security, performance, and operability are considered early and reflected in backlog items
- Identify and manage technical risks, dependencies, and integration constraints across teams
- Assist release readiness by validating scope, documentation, and prerequisites
- Coordinate planning across distributed, multi‑campus teams and communicate with stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field
- 3+ years as Technical Product Owner, Product Owner, System Analyst, or similar in software‑intensive products
- Strong understanding of software architecture, system integration, and full software delivery lifecycle
- Experience shaping technically coherent solutions with architects and senior engineers
- Experience writing clear, testable backlog items with acceptance criteria and non‑functional requirements
- Fluent in English in a multi‑campus environment
- Familiarity with Agile and ALM tools (e.g., Jira, Jama, Jira Align, Azure DevOps, Teams)
