This position is part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP) and focuses on accelerating customer adoption of Amazon Connect's AI capabilities. As an Applied AI Solutions Architect, you will work closely with customers to prepare Amazon Connect implementations for production, especially through model selection, prompt configuration, and tool configuration.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead technical discovery sessions to understand business requirements, existing contact center architecture, and AI readiness.
• Conduct data readiness assessments and help build the data foundation required for AI agent and RAG‑powered responses.
• Design and configure agentic AI solutions within Amazon Connect, handling AI agent creation, prompt engineering, guardrail configuration, and tool/action integration.
• Design and deploy Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers for dynamic discovery and invocation of customer tools.
• Architect Agent‑to‑Agent (A2A) communication patterns to enable multi‑agent workflows.
• Build serverless integrations using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, and scripting to connect AI agents with customer data systems.
• Architect secure access patterns to cloud‑based data systems (DynamoDB, RDS, S3, OpenSearch, Kendra) to power AI agent tool use and retrieval‑augmented generation.
• Guide customers through pre‑production validation and testing of AI agent performance.
• Create reusable artifacts such as reference architectures, implementation guides, sample code, and prompt libraries.
• Collaborate with Amazon Connect and Amazon Bedrock product teams to provide feedback and influence product roadmaps.

Basic qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in design, implementation, or consulting of applications and infrastructures.
• 7+ years of experience in a technology domain such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, or data & analytics.
• 7+ years of IT development or consulting experience in the software or internet industries.
• Experience with Amazon Connect or other enterprise contact center platforms.
• Hands‑on experience with Amazon Bedrock, including model invocation, agent creation, knowledge base configuration, and guardrails.

Preferred qualifications:

• 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience.
• Experience with agentic AI patterns – multi‑agent orchestration, tool use, function calling, chain‑of‑thought reasoning, and autonomous agent workflows.
• Hands‑on experience building and deploying MCP servers for dynamic agent tool discovery and invocation.
• Experience designing A2A architectures enabling specialized agents to collaborate across domains.
• Proficiency with agentic IDEs such as Kiro or Cursor, including experience with agent hooks, steering, and spec‑driven development.
• AWS certifications, e.g., Solutions Architect Professional, AI Practitioner, Machine Learning Specialty.

Willingness to travel 25‑40% for on‑site customer engagements.

Location: New York, NY (U.S.)

Salary range: USD 169,000 – 228,600 annually.
