Application engineer

Location: Flexible within Europe | Hybrid role Job Overview: At a global leader in electronic components, you will serve as Application Engineer for the Resistor product line, advising sales and field application teams across EMEA, translating customer needs into design solutions, and driving new product introductions from concept to production release. Your work will shape how customers design‑in and specify resistor products, providing technical, commercial, and strategic influence. Key Responsibilities Provide expert technical support to sales, FAEs, and customers on all resistor applications. Review and interpret customer specifications to recommend optimal solutions. Collaborate closely with Product Line Management on new product development. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including datasheets, reports, and marketing collateral. Deliver technical training to internal teams, distributors, and customers. Conduct competitive and market analysis to guide strategic development. Partner with global engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to deliver timely technical solutions. About You Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred). Minimum 5 years’ experience in electronic components, ideally passive components. Strong communication and presentation skills, fluent in English (additional languages a plus). Solid understanding of product lifecycle management and industry approvals (UL, IEC, AEC‑Q, etc.). Confident using tools such as Microsoft Office, SAP, and CAD/3 D software. Self‑motivated, organised, and comfortable in a mix of office‑based and customer‑facing settings.
