As Retail Operations Manager, West, based in Los Angeles, California, you will bring your unique strengths to the Retail Operations Team, helping us to drive operational excellence across ZEGNA’s luxury boutiques and outlet locations on the West Coast. You will ensure stores operate with precision, consistency, and efficiency, enabling exceptional client experiences that reflect the highest standards of luxury craftsmanship. Serving as the primary operational partner to Store Leadership, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across Retail, Merchandising, Finance, Supply Chain, IT, Facilities, and Corporate Operations to implement strategic initiatives and optimize performance. You’ll work closely with Director of Operations to drive meaningful results and shape the way we work and grow. You’ll serve as the key liaison between headquarters and the field. In this role, you will safeguard operational excellence across the region while fostering accountability, continuous improvement, and scalable ways of working that support long-term business growth.HOW YOU BRING IT TO LIFE
Here’s how you’ll bring this role to life each day — making it your own and shaping it with your unique talents and expertise: Operational Excellence & Store Standards Conduct regular store audits in line with company guidelines to ensure consistent adherence to brand standards, policies, and procedures. Maintain exceptional store standards across all locations through frequent store visits, reviews, and actionable follow-ups. Oversee health and safety compliance, ensuring all stores meet regulatory and internal requirements. Support in-store events and high-profile activations to ensure seamless operational execution. Inventory, Omnichannel & Systems Oversee inventory accuracy through cycle counts, physical inventories, and stock movement governance. Ensure cycle count programs are consistently executed and discrepancies are promptly investigated and resolved. Partner with store teams to strengthen inventory practices, including transfers, returns, ecommerce fulfillment, and adjustments. Support uniform ordering and allocation to ensure brand consistency and operational efficiency. Drive effective use of store systems and tools, and support IT troubleshooting in partnership with local IT teams. Training, Communication & Store Support Deliver and coordinate operational training on systems, processes, and compliance standards. Act as a trusted operational partner to Store Managers, fostering accountability and continuous improvement. Communicate operational updates and expectations clearly and consistently across all stores. Governance, Performance & Projects Maintain and evolve operational policies and procedures in line with business needs and brand standards. Monitor key operational KPIs, identifying risks, trends, and opportunities for improvement. Manage operational budgets including store supplies, packaging, and other operational expenses. Support new store openings and key projects, including operational readiness, training, systems setup, and go-live execution. Oversee store facilities and maintenance coordination to ensure timely resolution and minimal disruption to business. WHO YOU ARE This is how you show up: At least 3 years of multi-unit retail operations experience, preferably within luxury, premium, or specialty retail. Proven expertise in inventory management, audits, compliance, and operational governance. Experience supporting omnichannel retail operations and store-level fulfillment. Strong project management skills, including new store openings and cross-functional initiatives. Financial acumen with experience managing operational budgets and KPIs. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on driving continuous improvement. Confident communicator with strong leadership presence and the ability to influence across all levels. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to balance strategic priorities with hands-on execution. Passion for luxury retail and delivering exceptional client experiences. Ability to travel up to 50%. YOUR ZEGNA OFFER The pay range for this position is $115,000-$125,000 annually and is dependent on a candidate’s relevant skills and experience.
