Field Services Technical Director

In this role, you lead the Field Services organization across Italy, driving efficiency, growth, safety, and cost discipline. You’ll work with six regional Managers to develop competencies, optimize field operations, and promote cybersecurity culture within a cross‑functional service team. You will influence revenue opportunities and ensure high customer satisfaction through effective delivery and digital tools adoption. This is a hands‑on leadership role at a global sustainability and automation leader, focused on measurable impact and people development.Responsibilities

• Coordinate planning and scheduling of technical activities through six Managers to ensure on‑time delivery, quality, and budget adherence.
• Collaborate with Order Management, Project Management, Supply Chain, Safety, and other internal functions.
• Drive high customer satisfaction via quality execution, professional communication, and promotion of digital offers.
• Monitor adoption and correct use of digital tools (e.g., ServiceMax, OnSite, Tipi).
• Contribute to productivity improvements and accurate management of operational costs.
• Lead and optimize investment planning for technicians’ tools and equipment.
• Support the Service Operations Director in team communication, engagement, and alignment initiatives.
• Establish an effective managerial system with the six regional Managers to foster collaboration and results.
• Ensure continuous competency development (Competency Mapping, Competency Review, training plan).
• Lead engagement initiatives to support motivation, well‑being, and team cohesion.
• Manage headcount through dynamic sourcing and turnover management.
• Guide the team in generating new commercial opportunities, focusing on recurring service activities for clients.
• Support Managers and Technicians in aligning roles and competencies with market developments.
• Manage AI adoption to simplify technicians’ daily life.
• Promote a daily Safety First culture and enforce procedures (audits with Global functions).
• Ensure all field activities are conducted safely and take corrective action when needed.
• Guarantee cybersecurity compliance and risk reporting.
• Ensure adherence to the global Working Time Policy (WTP) with change management and monitoring.

• Technical degree or diploma.
• Solid experience managing technical teams across a territory.
• Strong Field Services background.
• Cost management and operational efficiency mindset.
• Proven managerial and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration abilities.
• Fluent English (mandatory).
• Knowledge of electrical distribution or secure power.
