Teller (Float)

ppThe responsibility of the Teller (Float) is to conduct transactions with speed, accuracy and efficiency while meeting or exceeding service quality standards. Safeguard bank assets assigned to them. Contribute to the growth of the bank by promoting and cross selling bank products and services. Position involves floating, or traveling, to different branch locations as needed. /p h3ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES /h3 ol liAssists with balancing Vault, ATM, Night Drop, Coin Machine as assigned. /li liAssists with proper scanning of bank documents and proof work. /li liExercise judgment when applying holds and making check cashing decisions. /li liCross train to be available to open basic new consumer accounts. /li liAdheres to work schedule. Must be flexible in availability for work schedule. /li liMaintains positive, friendly and professional attitude and appearance. /li liLift coin bags up to 50 lbs. /li liReceives, pays out cash, handles negotiable items, loan payments, deposits, withdrawals and transfers. /li liSets up, closes and balances teller station. /li liRecords sales of monetary instruments. /li liAssists customers with inquiries in person or by telephone. /li liMaintains neat and well stocked teller area. /li liCross sells bank products and services. /li liFollows limits established for protection of customer accounts and bank safety and soundness. /li liAdheres to bank policies and procedures. /li liMay be required to work an alternative location within the region or market. /li liThe ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. /li liCompletes required BSA/AML and other required compliance training as assigned. This duty is performed as needed. /li liPerform any other related duties as required or assigned. /li /ol h3EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE /h3 pMental alertness and adaptability to office and field area work routines. Equivalent to four years high school or GED, with particular emphasis during high school in office skills, shop skills, or others, plus 0 to 6 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. /p h3COMMUNICATION SKILLS /h3 pAbility to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization. /p h3MATHEMATICAL SKILLS /h3 pAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers.
