Senior Product Owner (m/w/d)

As a Senior Product Owner, you will be the visionary leader behind our next-generation platform, defining the ‘what’ and ‘why’ and contributing to the ‘how it feels’. Acting as the strategic bridge between business objectives, user experience and technical execution, you will be responsible for aligning these three areas.
You will own the product roadmap from start to finish and, when necessary, design user flows and interaction patterns to ensure the platform remains intuitive, scalable and user-centred.
Your mission will be to maximise the value delivered by the development team, ensuring that our solutions remain aligned with the company’s long-term goals and the evolving needs of the market.
Your Responsibilities

• Own the product roadmap, translating high-level business goals into actionable themes, epics and user stories
• Design and document user flows and interaction specifications for new features to ensure a coherent and intuitive experience across the platform. Experience with tools such as Figma is advantageous, but clear thinking about user flows is more important than pixel-perfect design
• Lead the refinement, prioritisation and continuous maintenance of the product backlog to ensure the team focuses on the most valuable initiatives
• Conduct discovery activities such as user interviews, usability tests and data analysis to identify issues early on and transform insights into evidence-based improvements
• Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, balancing competing requirements and communicating trade-offs clearly
• Collaborate closely with senior developers to understand technical constraints, discuss architectural decisions and ensure that solutions support long-term scalability without compromising usability
• Define KPIs with Product Marketing and use analytics, user insights and market research to guide product decisions and measure the impact of releases
• Define clear acceptance criteria and ensure that each release meets the highest standards of quality, usability and user value
• Lead agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Reviews and Refinements) and continuously improve product discovery and delivery processes
  

Your Qualifications & Skills

• Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or a comparable field
• Significant previous experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in SaaS or complex web application environments
• Experience of designing user flows and process diagrams. Familiarity with wireframing and prototyping tools such as Figma and Miro is advantageous
• Strong understanding of web technologies (APIs, cloud computing and databases) and the ability to engage in meaningful architectural discussions with C# and Vue.js developers
• Experience of working with Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban. Certifications such as CSPO or PSPO are advantageous
• Analytical mindset and proficiency in tools for data analysis, roadmapping and user research (e.g. Jira, Productboard, Mixpanel and Amplitude)
• Ability to translate complex business needs into clear technical requirements, managing trade-offs between ideal solutions and timely delivery
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with engineering, UX/UI and leadership teams, fostering transparency and shared goals
• Deep customer empathy and the ability to identify user pain points and turn them into impactful product improvements
• Pragmatic problem-solving approach that balances long-term product vision with short-term priorities and resource constraints
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Italian and/or German is advantageous
