Director, Commercial Training & Sales Enablement (CTSE)

Overview

In this role you will lead the strategic development and execution of commercial training and sales enablement across WEU (and CEEMEA for Advanced Surgery), driving sales effectiveness and product adoption. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, shaping capability gaps and learning strategies that translate into measurable business impact. You will build and mentor a regional team, manage budgets and partnerships, and partner with cross-functional leaders to enable transformation and launch readiness. This position offers scope to influence regional growth, talent development, and strategic initiatives in a complex, matrixed environment.

Responsabilità

• Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial training and sales enablement strategy aligned to global CTSE pillars and enterprise objectives across WEU markets
• Partner with senior commercial leadership to assess capabilities, identify performance gaps, and prioritize development initiatives
• Create and maintain a multi-year capability roadmap supporting growth, product innovation, market expansion, and changing customer needs
• Ensure training priorities align with global capability frameworks, standards, and strategic initiatives
• Act as primary strategic advisor to business leaders on capability development, learning effectiveness, and sales readiness
• Lead development and execution of training programs with the global COE in CTSE for sales reps, leaders, clinicians, and partners
• Oversee onboarding and certification programs to accelerate time-to-productivity
• Drive sales leadership development, coaching, and performance management programs
• Reinforce selling methodologies, customer engagement strategies, and commercial best practices
• Ensure field teams have required capabilities across product, clinical, market, and competition with certification and outcomes
• Partner with Global/Regional Marketing, Medical Affairs, and leadership to develop launch readiness strategies
• Lead change management and capability-building for commercial transformation initiatives
• Implement innovative learning technologies to improve engagement, retention, coaching, and performance
• Build trusted relationships with stakeholders including senior executives and unit leaders
• Contribute to business planning forums to align capability priorities with strategy
• Collaborate with Global CTSE to ensure consistency, scalability, and sharing of best practices
• Establish and monitor metrics with the Global CTSE COE to evaluate training effectiveness, readiness, and impact
• Map curriculums to business needs and develop role-based learning pathways
• Use data insights to continuously improve programs and share dashboards with regional leadership
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of five Senior Training Managers
• Foster a high-performance, collaborative culture with clear objectives and succession planning
• Develop annual operating plans and budgets for training and enablement initiatives
• Manage vendor partnerships and learning solutions with senior-level governance
• Oversee major training events, national meetings, and field-based learning experiences

Requisiti fondamentali

• Ability to influence with senior leaders in a matrixed organization
• Strong strategic planning, business acumen, and capability development expertise
• Exceptional communication, facilitation, and executive presentation skills
