Overview

The Applications/Systems Engineering area is responsible for technical pre/post-sales support. Includes customized application engineering and solutions, implementation, training, and maintenance. Assesses application of firm products to meet customer needs. May prepare product specifications for development and implementation of client solutions.

Role Definition

The Solutions Consultant is responsible for the support of a solution designed sale to provide customised service solutions for high potential opportunities and strategic client accounts.

• Customer engagement with growth and learning for you to gain and conduct in-depth discovery sessions that lead to a solution-based sale of products and services
• Progression to help in the creation of business, functional and technical requirements demonstrate to the client our ability to deliver these services, solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
• Support for you to execute on the processes and behaviors that will result in the sales of these new services.
• Learning geared for you to digest and absorb the training materials that help you facilitate the execution of solution design sessions.

Experience For The Role

• Technical Knowledge with a significant period in the role of a Solution Consultant
• Product to Solution Enabler – Ability to form a solution from the current product portfolio to achieve the customer need.
• Problem Solver. Proven ability to conceptualise customised solutions and sell these solutions to the customer.
• Technically aware. Experience within a Payments environment. Exposure across multiple payments environments related to the region.
• Logical planning and work co-ordination. Strong capacity to communicate and drive alignment on common objectives to meet business objectives for both customer and internal
• Collaborator. Proven ability to work with sales representatives and sales delivery teams to accelerate revenue.

• You serve as the bridge between the product, technology, and sales departments to create service solutions that are achievable and profitable
• You work with Sales and Customer Success teams to conceptualise, design, sell and assist with implementation of customised solutions
• You produce technical solutions that showcase our value and knowledge of a solution over standard solutions
• You work with the Engineering teams to design new solutions that are scalable and address common problems across markets

Technical Skills Background

Connect – Payment Connectivity - Skill/Knowledge Level for Role – High

8+ Years Data Networking related to Payment Services and Solutions

Experience Covering The Following Key Subjects

• IP Based Access Services, Local and Wide Area Networking
• Layer 2 services – Ethernet, VLAN’s
• Layer 3 VPN services and IP Based services
• Knowledge of Software Defined WAN Services (SDWAN) – Fortinet Product Skill set
• Strong knowledge of vendor hardware Cisco, Fortinet and Teltonika and Virtual Access Products
• Any relevant technical qualifications CCxx, NSE etc

Access IP Services covering

• Broadband FTTC/FTTP and Ethernet based services
• Wireless –4G/5G ServicesInternet based services VPN (Virtual Private Network) and TLS
• Cisco Umbrella, ZTNA Services

Understanding of:-

• Firewalls – Fortigate and Cisco
• IP Addressing, Network Address Translation, IP SLA and Quality of Service Profiles
• Cloud based services – AWS, Google Cloud and Azure
• Additional require knowledge of the following: -
• F5 Products
• Linux – Command Line Level understanding
• VmWare Platforms

Desirable Experience For Payment Services - High

• Industry awareness
• Understanding of industry standards and Market trends for the Italian and European Payments Market
• Security standard PCIDSS
• P2PE Terminal standards
• DDOS mitigation
• Message Specifications based on ISO and Nexo variants

Role Requirements

Provide support to Sales Teams for the following elements –

Solution Consultant Remit

• Knowledge of TNS product and solution capabilities for payment solutions
• Support Sales presentations and meetings with new and existing customers
• Provide and maintain regular contact with TNS’ customers
• Provide support for customer responses to RFP’s/RFI’s
• Knowledge of TNS’ customer base and the Payment market for the relevant country and region
• Advise and recommend products and solutions relevant to a given customer
• Production of technical proposals for Sales opportunities
• Production of cost models for Sales opportunities
• Production of technical requirements for internal delivery teams
