Our recruitment process promotes sustainability by valuing long-term growth and responsible practices, while seeking candidates with the drive to innovate and lead in the global energy transition. /p pTogether, these values shape how we engage, assess, and welcome talent to join us in delivering transformational solar power solutions worldwide. /p pLightsource bp was fully acquired by bp in 2024. /p h3What you’ll do (the role) /h3 h3Summary /h3 pLightsource bp’s Commercial Engineering Team provides technical support across all areas of the global organization and for projects being developed across the globe. /p pContributing to and supporting all areas of Lightsource bp’s Commercial Engineering Team, focusing on projects in all phases: early development, pre-construction and projects in construction. /p h3Duties and Responsibilities /h3 ul liFocusing on projects in Italy (primarily, but also across EMEA region), support the Project Development process (including Acquisitions), across all technical aspects. /li liLead the Technical Due Diligence (Acquisition and/or Financing) and manage internal and external service providers. /li liUndertake Energy Yield Assessments (EYA). /li liUndertake LCOE optimisation and analysis for new projects. /li liSupport the assessment of new technologies (modules, inverters, structures, wind turbines (WTGs), BESS). /li liLead the development of Basic Design, including instructing layouts and SLDs. /li liLead the development of EPC Contract Technical Appendices. /li liSupport Project Managers as needed across all technical aspects during construction period, Works Completion, PAC and FAC. /li liCoordinate and manage Technical Advisors (OE, LTA, etc) locally and internationally. /li /ul h3Why you’ll make a great member of the team /h3 h3Knowledge /h3 ul liGood knowledge of PV, BESS and Wind generating technologies and constituent components (modules, inverters, structures, trackers, batteries, WTGs, etc). /li liGood knowledge of EPC / OM contracts, including Technical Appendices. /li liGood understanding of PPAs, Grid Connection Agreements and technical inputs to Financial Models. /li liKnowledge of simulation software including PVsyst and WAsP or similar (AutoCAD, ArcGIS or other Solar, Wind or Battery (BESS) modelling software is a plus). /li liGood knowledge of the main players in the industry (Technical Advisors, investors, EPCs, TSO/DNOs, etc). /li /ul h3Experience Education /h3 ul li7+ years of experience in the Renewable Energy industry, on both Solar PV and Wind sectors. /li liExperience/expertise in BESS and Hydrogen technologies is a strong plus. /li liExperience in undertaking Energy Yield Assessment (EYA) and good knowledge of pertinent factors affecting PV, BESS and Wind plant performance. /li liExperience with large-scale Solar PV, BESS and Windfarm projects in the region, working either on the Developer, EPC Contractor, or Technical Advisor side. /li liMasters in Renewable Energy or related field preferable. /li /ul h3Personal Qualities /h3 ul liFluent Italian and English spoken and written. /li liFull Driving licence. /li liProactive, autonomous, flexible, and driven. /li liForward thinking, a problem solver and solution provider. /li liProactive and being able to prioritise workload. /li liAble to promote a positive working culture within the team. /li liStrong organisational and good communication skills both verbal and written. /li /ul h3Why you’ll want to work for us /h3 pOur company is a place where you can be yourself and grow, a place where your ideas and opinions matter. /p pBe you:We pride ourselves on being an inclusive community, where every individual is valued and treated with respect. /p pBe responsible:Our culture is driven by our core values – from operating safely to ensuring our projects are responsible. /p pBe recognized:Alongside a competitive salary, we offer a variety of benefits including annual bonus, retention bank, health insurance, pension and other local benefits. /p pBe inspired:Beyond your day-to-day working life at Lightsource bp, there’s a variety of initiatives that will contribute to your own personal development.
