Nuclear Project Manager

ph3Responsibilities /h3 ul liResponsible for planning, execution and closeout of assigned projects within the established budget and schedule; acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members, including contractors and consultants, to deliver projects according to plan; providing leadership, direction and resources to the project supervisor and staff. /li liLead the planning and implementation of a project while facilitating the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables using the ProjectSolutions project management compliance matrix. /li liManage project staff, ensure preparation and approval of all applicable project documentation, and ensure project scope is accomplished within schedule and budget. /li liLiaise with project stakeholders on a routine basis. /li liIdentify and manage scope changes, ensuring changes to the Statement of Work are documented and communicated to the customer and management. /li liUpdate baseline budget and schedule. /li liTrack project cost and provide direction to the accounting department for the preparation of project invoices. /li liAct as the primary interface between EnergySolutions and the client by implementing project status meetings and providing monthly schedule, project and financial input to management. /li liEnsure that all activities are performed safely and in accordance with applicable Department of Transportation, Nuclear Regulatory Commission and Occupational Safety Health Administration standards, state requirements and all client procedures, permits and licenses. /li liProvide leadership and direction to project personnel. /li liManage personnel of varying disciplines and degrees of experience with an emphasis on teamwork. /li liEnsure staff performs all activities safely and is committed to a safe, accident‑free working environment. /li liEnsure personnel obtain and maintain appropriate training, qualifications and proficiencies using the Talent Database. /li liWork under general direction. /li liHandle all aspects of complex projects and serve as a single point of contact for those projects. /li liBe prepared to fill the role of Project Director as needed. /li liPerform other duties as assigned. /li /ul h3Job Requirements and Skills /h3 ul liStrong negotiation skills /li liAdvanced computer and software skills /li liStrong communication and interpersonal skills /li /ul h3Physical and Mental Requirements and Working Conditions /h3 ul liAbility to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds; handle and reach above or below shoulder height. /li liAbility to use hands to accomplish tasks as assigned. /li liAbility to sit, stand, walk, climb, bend/stoop, crouch and kneel. /li liEffective communication skills; pass audiogram in hearing conservation program as required by location. /li liVisual acuity to see close and distance; basic color/shade discrimination. /li liCapability to work inside an office, outside, and in extreme temperatures. /li liAbility to wear respiratory protection. /li liAbility to work with moving objects/hazardous machines and slippery/uneven walking surfaces. /li liAbility to work alone, work with others, and interact with the public. /li liAbility to operate equipment, drive a vehicle and travel overnight. /li liAbility to perform under deadline pressure. /li /ul h3Minimum Education, Experience and Certification Requirements /h3 ul libEducation: /b Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience. /li libCertifications: /b ePMQ required; Professional Engineer (PE) or Fundamentals of Engineer (FE) preferred. /li libExperience: /b Minimum of 10 years project management experience, completed projects and good performance reviews; must have nuclear experience. /li libPreferred Experience: /b None. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
