The role involves applying engineering principles to ensure the safety, functionality, and longevity of bridges within infrastructure projects. /ph3Key Accountabilities /h3ulliBridge Design and Analysis: Design and analyze bridge structures, considering factors such as load-bearing capacity, materials, and environmental impact; utilize engineering software and tools to model and simulate bridge behavior under different conditions. /liliProject Planning: Collaborate with project managers and other engineering disciplines to develop comprehensive plans for bridge projects; provide input on timelines, resource requirements, and budget considerations. /liliRegulatory Compliance: Ensure that bridge designs and construction adhere to local, state, and national codes and regulations; stay informed about changes in standards and implement updates as necessary. /liliStructural Assessments: Conduct inspections and assessments of existing bridges to evaluate structural integrity and identify maintenance or rehabilitation needs; provide recommendations for repairs or upgrades based on assessments. /liliCollaboration and Coordination: Work closely with architects, geotechnical engineers, and construction teams to integrate bridge designs into overall infrastructure projects; coordinate with government agencies, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project success. /liliConstruction Oversight: Monitor construction activities to ensure that bridge construction aligns with approved designs and engineering specifications; address any unforeseen issues or challenges that arise during the construction phase. /liliDocumentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of design plans, assessments, and construction activities; prepare comprehensive reports for internal and external stakeholders, summarizing project progress and outcomes. /li /ulh3Education /h3ulliBachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering General Qualifications. /liliPrior internships or co-op experiences in bridge engineering or related fields are beneficial; basic familiarity with structural analysis software such as SAP2000, LARSA, or MIDAS Civil is desirable, with a willingness to learn and develop proficiency; understanding of fundamental engineering principles and concepts related to bridge design, including load analysis, materials properties, and basic environmental considerations; eagerness to learn and apply relevant design codes and standards, such as AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications and local building codes, under the guidance of senior engineers. /li /ulh3Competencies /h3ulliWORKPLACE DYNAMICS - Resourcefulness in shaping progress and working efficiently. /liliPERSONAL EMPOWERMENT - Ownership for life, work and results, striving to grow professionally and personally. /liliINTERPERSONAL INFLUENCE - Skills and strategies we use to interact effectively with others. /liliDOMAIN BUSINESS ACUMEN - Applying a scientific approach and critical thinking in operations and solution development within area of expertise. /liliFORESIGHT INSIGHT - Context awareness adopting a systemic perspective and informed decision making. /li /ulh3Compensation Data /h3pThe salary range and job grade for this position are defined based on objective, role-related criteria and responsibilities in accordance with CCNL RINA (CNEL code I480). The gross annual salary range foreseen is between €30,000 and €39,000 and will be finally defined on candidate’s professional experience, qualifications, competencies and overall alignment with the role. In addition, an annual variable compensation component is provided, based on both Company and individual performance objectives in accordance with the current policies and collective agreements.
