Quality Assurance Engineer at ICONICS

Position Overview

Quality Assurance Engineer will execute test strategies to support rapid product development in the testing of real-time automation software that interfaces operator workstations to industrial equipment. As part of QA team, the person will work on product initiatives from business requirements through implementation, write test scripts, develop test plans and designs, including test execution and verification via both manual and automated processes. As part of an international development team, you will write automated test applications which will automate deep level testing of various real-world scenarios.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver new software releases guided by a set of product roadmaps that key on the customer problems to be solved.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine and then test backlog, epics, features, and user stories.
• Ensure that developed code meets the acceptance criteria defined.
• Build on a DevOps framework that allows continual deployment of software.
• Provide end users with a high-quality and secure solution.
• Collaborate with teammates across different business units to understand requirements and deliver solutions.

Required Qualifications / Certifications

• Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related Engineering degree
• Experience or openness to learn about modern development methods. IE: agile, scrum, lean, etc.
• Flexibility
• Effective oral and written communication
• A keen focus on quality and security
• Familiarity with source control systems such as Git, TFS Version Control
• Experience applying DevOps tools and practices
• Experience with IoT technologies and protocols (MQTT, AMQP)
• Knowledge of Visual Studio, C# and .NET, and C++
