This position requires close cooperation with key departments such as Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Logistics. Your primary goal will be to drive continuous improvement in supplier quality, thereby minimizing defects and reducing costs related to quality issues. Furthermore, you will be responsible for developing and strengthening the supply base to align with business requirements.As a Sourcing Specialist - Supplier Quality Engineering, you will be responsible for:Support the identification, scouting, and selection of potential new suppliersQualify suppliers according to company standardsConduct periodic audits to verify and ensure compliance with company requirementsLead suppliers in executing root cause analysis (RCA) for defects and support the development of robust corrective actions (CA)Review the results of on-the-job inspections in accordance with Quality Control PlansAssist suppliers with Deviation Request (SDR) managementManage supplier-related Non-Conformity Records (NCR)Provide technical support to the buyer, engineering team, or BOM team to effectively manage purchasing needsFuel your passionTo be successful in this role you will:Have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, or minimum 5 years of work experience in quality, engineering or testing departmentBe able to read and understand technical drawings and specificationBe fluent in English and ItalianBe proficient in PC and office softwareBe able to travel frequentlyDesired Characteristics:Awareness of quality system requirements and ISO9001Knowledge of welding techniques, NDT method, surface preparation and paintingEffective problem-solving abilitiesKnowledge of Turbo machinery products. (Gas/steam turbine, Compressor)Understanding of Six Sigma methodologiesNCA/RCA leaderStrong negotiation, presentation, and facilitation skillsHighly motivated and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.Attitude to set aggressive targets and challenge the status quoStrong communication skills, both internally with different functions and externally with suppliersStructured, data-driven mindset.
