Our client is a globally recognised manufacturer operating within the specialty chemicals and advanced materials sector, supplying high performance solutions into a broad range of industrial applications. With a long standing reputation for technical excellence, innovation, and customer partnership, the company supports customers across industries where performance, reliability, and application expertise are critical.
As part of continued investment and growth across Southern Europe, the company is now looking to appoint a Sales Manager to lead and develop business activities across Italy. This is a commercially focused role combining strategic account management with new business development across technically driven industrial markets.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop existing customer relationships across Italy within specialty chemical markets
- Drive organic growth within established accounts through strategic account management and customer engagement
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across targeted industrial sectors
- Maintain regular face to face customer contact across the Italian territory
- Work closely with technical, product management, and commercial teams to support customer projects and opportunities
- Provide technical and commercial support to distributors and channel partners where required
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer developments to identify growth opportunities
- Support new product introductions and commercial development activities within the region
- Represent the company at customer meetings, technical discussions, industry events, and trade fairs
- Maintain accurate sales activity reporting and pipeline management through CRM systems
Key Requirements
- Approximately 5 to 10 years of sales or business development experience within the chemical industry
- Background within specialty chemicals, industrial materials, polymers, elastomers, silicones, coatings, adhesives, or related sectors
- Strong experience managing customer relationships within technical or industrial markets
- Demonstrated ability to combine account management with new business acquisition
- Commercially driven with strong communication and relationship building skills
- Comfortable operating in a customer facing, field based sales environment
- Ability to engage both technically and commercially with industrial customers
- Fluent Italian and professional English language capability
- Science based education or technical background is advantageous
Additional Information

- Salary: €70,000 to €90,000 base (depending on experience) plus bonus, car, and package available
