Engineering background would be preferred. /li liPrevious experience in complex construction sites /li liPrevious HSE management in multi-contractor environments /li liExperience in translating policies and standards into operational plans /li liDevelopment and implementation of Project / Site HSE Management Plans /li liSpecific training in Health Safety or relevant certifications /li liFluency in Italian and English is required /li liCompensation Package: CCNL Industria Alimentare, Quadro, Gross Annual Base Salary: 75.000,00.Position Summary Ensure excellence in safety, health and environmental sustainability during construction. Develop and communicate the Project HSE Management Plan and ensure its effective implementation. Monitor site standards, recognise good performance and challenge and address poor performance. Communicate with local authorities and communities as well as Nestlé management. A Day in the Life of the Project HSE Manager: /li liEnsure Compliance: Ensure compliance with local HSE legislation and Nestlé HSE standards and principles by ensuring HSE is integrated into project planning, operational reviews, design-for-construction, and contractor management. /li liCreate HSE Management Plan: Develop the site HSE Management Plan and communicate to project management and contractors. Ensure the plan includes effective risk management procedures for worker orientation training, risk assessment, method statements, lifting plans, permit to work, emergency planning, etc. Modify the Plan as required during the project to reflect changes in risk. /li liEnsure Safe Healthy Site: Ensure the site is under control with secure access, safe access and egress routes, correct signage and with relevant risks effectively managed. Ensure high standards of health hygiene conditions for workers, with appropriate emergency medical response. /li liEnsure Safe Healthy Work Practices: Ensure implementation of site risk management procedures. Ensure that specific safe working practices are in place with a focus on high frequency risks (eg slips, trips, falls, injuries from sharp points and edges) and high hazard tasks (eg work at height, critical lifting, hot work). /li liDevelop Capability of Managers: Ensure training and coaching is provided to managers and team leaders to develop their knowledge of risk management, legislation and duties. Provide personal coaching and support to the Site Management Team. /li liProvide Guidance Support: Ensure managers receive trusted guidance support on HSE matters. Identify and leverage expertise and good practices from inside and outside Nestlé. Co-ordinate internal external resources to deliver high quality and efficient SHE supports, e.g. exposure monitoring, health promotion, health surveillance, training. /li liAudit Review: Ensure compliance is regularly audited and performance assessed, and the results used to drive further improvement. Promote effective communication of successes and learnings, and recognition for strong performers and contributors. /li liEngagement: Engage with stakeholders (e.g. contractor representatives, trades unions, local regulators, local communities, and local NGOs) on HSE topics to build positive relationships. What will make you successful? /li liTaking ownership of HSE and drove change through personal leadership. /li liPrevious experience in leading HSE in a multiple contractor environment. /li liPrevious experience in working in senior HSE role on significant construction site. /li liTranslated policies standards into practical action plans. /li liCoached individuals and teams in different environments. /li liHeld one or more line (or project) management positions. /li liCommunicated effectively with different organisational levels. /li liDeveloped site HSE Management Plans and implemented on site.
