Areas of focus are technology scouting, material selection, stack engineering, multiphysics modelling, prototyping and validation testing. /ph3Main activities: /h3ulliCoordinate and oversee the development activities related to electrochemical stack engineering, providing improvements roadmap in accordance with the company strategic vision. /liliIdentify, assess, and manage technical risks associated with stack development projects. /liliIdentify the areas of improvements of the current design to maximize the performance (electrodes improvements, membrane selection, stack architecture, etc.) /liliLead material selection and coordinate laboratory activities to ensure optimal performance and durability of electrochemical stacks. /liliCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of stack technology into final products. /liliStay updated with the latest advancements in electrochemical technology (e.g. low-TRL innovation available in the industrial and scientific community) and incorporate relevant innovations into development projects. /liliProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff. /li /ulh3Requirements: /h3ulliBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. /liliProven experience (7+ years) in electrochemical stack engineering, electrolyzers, fuel cells and related technologies. /liliStrong knowledge of electrochemical principles and material science. /liliExperience with performance setting and optimization of electrochemical stacks. /liliDemonstrated ability to manage technical risks in complex development programs. /liliExcellent problem-solving skills /liliEffective written and oral communication and collaboration abilities. /li /ulh3Nice to have /h3ulliExperience in planning, conducting, coordinating and/or interpreting the results of the main experimental techniques for characterization of electrochemical systems (3 electrode testing, cyclic voltammetry, EIS, AST, Chronopotentiometry, etc.) /liliExperience in microscopical investigation techniques (optical, SEM, EDS, XRF, Raman, ICP, etc.) /liliExperience in durability and damage modelling /liliExperience in finite element techniques for mechanical integrity verification and computational fluid dynamics /liliExperience in component drawing reading, CAD software /liliExperience in electrochemical stack design criteria /liliExperience in large scale electrolyzer design/assembly or scale-up projects from small to large size /liliKnowledge of state of the art supply chain for electrolyzers parts /liliUnderstanding of balance of plant engineering and design /liliUnderstanding of control systems /liliUnderstanding of coating deposition technologies and techniques /liliKnowledge of the major standards for hydrogen (ISO 22734, ISO 14687, Machine directive 2006/42, EN , etc.) /li /ulpOther information /pulliFor this position, the initial annual gross salary will be not less than € 55.000 /liliPermanent contract /liliPremio di risultato and conditions in compliance with the second-level collective agreements. /liliCanteen, occupational pension scheme, health insurance, welfare plan /li /ulpThe compensation package will be determined based on the candidate professional experience and technical skills as assessed during the selection process. /ppThis job advertisement complies with the pay transparency obligations set out in EU Directive 2023/970 and the corresponding Italian implementing Legislation /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
