SSC Space Italy is seeking for its client's Satellites Business Unit in Milano or Torino

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Experience in 3D and 2D modelling (experience with NX software is a plus)
• Experience with NX’s PCB Exchange design is a plus
• Experience in both thermal & structural design (is an advantage)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the mechanical design of mechanical/structural systems (in space field is a plus)
• Experience in understanding of materials (metallic and composite), coatings, and adhesives
• Experience gathering technical requirements and developing technical specifications and documentations
• Experience in relationships with Customers and with Subcontractors and Suppliers during past work
• System-oriented thinking and vision
• Awareness and sensitivity for cost and schedule impacts

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with system engineer (project responsible) for mechanical design requirement definition and discussion
• Collaborate with electrical and electronic engineer to define the input for mechanical design
• Collaborate with thermal and structural engineers to accommodate complex systems
• Create 3D designs for space equipment
• Create 2D manufacturing, technical assembly, and ICD drawings, as well as project-level documentation
• Optimize equipment mechanical design to improve performance and reliability
• Perform fast prototypes for quick validation of design
• Specify, select, and acquire necessary components required for mechanical designs
• Manage part lists and libraries including standard mechanical and electrical components
