The Capital Markets division is intricately organised into specialised domains encompassing equity and debt origination, loans, structuring, risk management, and syndication. These functions operate within distinct business units such as: Debt Capital Markets (GTC), Risk Solutions Group (GTC), Equity Capital Markets (CM), and Leveraged Finance (CM) and Syndicate (CM). This area of our business presents a dynamic landscape of opportunities and challenges that arrive in diverse forms. Throughout your off-cycle internship, you will have the privilege of learning from seasoned professionals, immersing yourself in the organisational culture, and actively participating in substantial projects. Your role may encompass tasks ranging from hands‑on involvement in live deals and deal proposals to the preparation of compelling new business presentations, all while gaining insights into the intricacies of executing transactions.

Who we're looking for

To be considered for this programme, you must be in your penultimate or final year of your degree, in any discipline.

Language requirements: fluent in English and Italian.

Ideally, you'll have a keen interest in business and finance and a curiosity to learn. We value resourcefulness, teamwork, enthusiasm and an entrepreneurial spirit, all of which might be showcased through your involvement in extracurricular activities.

Working in Milan

Capital of the Lombardy region and second Italian city after Rome, Milan is located in the heart of the Po Valley, bathed by several rivers (Olona, Seveso, Lambro) and crossed by artificial canals (navigli), we are based at Via Broletto 4, where you will be part of our international finance team, where our services encompass delivering financial advisory, capital raising, financing and risk management services to clients worldwide.

Entry Salary: €24,000
Upper Salary: €24,000

The entry and upper salary information above includes only annual full-time equivalent base salary and represents the typical range of pay for the role. The actual pay rate will reflect the responsibility level of the role and experience level of the individual. The entry and upper salary information does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

Purpose of the role

To participate in the day-to-day activities of the Capital Markets division providing insights and expertise that help senior colleagues make informed decisions, develop new products and services, and identify new market opportunities.

Accountabilities

• Execution of small research projects, research to support strategic decision making, preparation of presentations and reports to communicate research findings, collaboration with senior management to implement research findings for capital markets, advising a broad range of corporate clients, to deliver holistic, structured solutions.

• Collaboration with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.

• Participation in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

• Identification of opportunities, development of business cases, management of the deployment and launch of new products and services for capital markets.

• Management of client relationships and provision of customer service support to clients and customers, under steadily decreasing supervision, responding to questions about products and services, processing of transactions.

• Management of the development and implementation of financial models and strategies that support in decision making in Capital Markets.
