Finance Manager

PGI SPA, Jewelry Manufacturing Italian entity of Cartier Operation, is looking for a Finance manager to join the board and manage full financial activities, industrial controlling, accounting, fiscal and tax obligations.

• Management: Manage the entire finance team with direct reporting of two middle managers. Oversee industrial controlling and accounting (organization, review, feedback, training). Develop managers and teams, foster financial culture within PGI, and promote a climate of listening and sharing. Plan succession for different positions and develop competencies.
• Reporting: Ensure proper management of accounting operations (IFRS and statutory), tax, and associated legal declarations (monthly closing). Lead the relationship with external/internal auditors, update and apply the transfer pricing policy in conjunction with Richemont Tax, and ensure the finance interface with other authorities in case of audit.
• Production cost and variance analysis: Supervise the analysis of production cost and various actual-standard variances, monitor Capex, working hours, and development costs. Analyse and optimize inventory and provisions reporting in collaboration with the Supply Chain team. Coordinate and participate in the development of various monthly indicators related to production and expenses.
• Consolidated and statutory accounts, tax returns: Supervise and produce, with the Group and Richemont Italia Holding spa, consolidated financial statements integrated into group consolidation, statutory Italian accounts, and tax returns. Produce the statements requested by the Group's auditors to validate financial statements.
• Controlling: Coordinate and supervise the development of the production plan within the framework of the budget and last estimate, collaborating with the Maison and the Group. Value the production plan, highlight volume‑mix and performance variances, and develop forecast actual‑standard variances. Supervise and construct the budget for PGI Entity (expenses, hourly rates) and forecasts during budget phases. Support the company's approach to continuous improvements and contribute to identifying main sources and opportunities for management gains.
• Internal Control: Perform financial analyses of related projects & commitments, identify risks and controls, draft procedures, and ensure correct performance and documentation. Coordinate with the Security department for audits and action plans, support the internal security approach, and coordinate the execution of annual inventories. Analyze results, monitor corrective actions, and coordinate responses to controls or requests from Italian authorities.

• Participation in defining strategic orientations of the entity.
• Contribute to the definition of the global company project and objectives.
• Ensure transversality, process optimization, and cooperation between departments of PGI.
• Be an ambassador for the company project and ensure collaboration between different divisions.
• Lead transformation projects that support the development of the Maison and the Manufacturing strategy; ensure interface with finance managers of other divisions to harmonize practices.

• Business or Engineering School degree.
• Proven experience (e.g., 15+ years) in industrial controlling, financial analysis, and budgeting, preferably within a manufacturing or luxury goods environment, in Italy.
• Strong analytical, synthesis, and presentation skills, capable of presenting complex financial data to senior management.
• Business‑oriented with good interpersonal skills and a taste for teamwork.
• Leadership experience, including hierarchical management and development of a team of financial controllers.
• Strong communication skills with an aptitude for negotiation and teamwork.
• Proficiency in financial ERP systems and advanced data analysis tools (Anaplan, Looker, SAP).
• Fluency in Italian & French, good level in English.
• Deep knowledge of Italian laws and regulations.
