You will provide strategic counsel while ensuring disciplined execution across talent, organisation, culture, performance, and change. This is a hands-on leadership role in a complex, highly regulated market. The scope includes organisational effectiveness, workforce planning, leadership capability, employee and labour relations, performance management, and the use of data, digital tools, and AI to improve decisions and HR delivery. You will lead the local HR agenda in close partnership with EMEA HR, Centres of Excellence, Global Services, and the broader One HR Italy community. /ph3Kay Resposibilites /h3ulliPartner with the business Build trusted relationships with Head of HR, Managing Director, Italian Leadership Team, and people leaders, providing strategic advice, coaching, and constructive challenge. /liliTranslate the Italy business strategy, portfolio priorities, and evolving go-to-market needs into clear people, organisation, and capability plans. /liliUse workforce data, business insights, digital tools, and AI-enabled analysis to identify risks, inform decisions, and measure impact /liliDeliver talent and capability priorities /liliLead talent reviews, succession planning, workforce planning, and differentiated development actions for critical roles and future capabilities. /liliStrengthen internal and external talent pipelines, supporting mobility, talent import and export, and readiness for key leadership positions /liliBuild people-leader capability in coaching, feedback, performance management, inclusion, digital fluency, and AI-enabled ways of working. /liliLead organisational effectiveness and performance /liliLead organisational reviews, restructuring, role design, spans and layers, and workforce transitions in line with business needs and Italian requirements. /liliDrive a culture of accountability and sustained performance, equipping leaders to address performance and role-fit issues consistently and fairly. /liliGuide change and transformation programmes from design through implementation, balancing competitiveness, employee experience, compliance, and business continuity. /liliShape culture, engagement, and leadership /liliPartner with leaders to build an inclusive, high-performing culture grounded in the Credo, direct conversations, ownership, and collaboration. /liliUse employee listening, engagement insights, and AI-supported analysis to define targeted actions and monitor progress. /liliCreate forums and interventions that strengthen the people-leader community, leadership effectiveness, and connection across the Italian organisation. /liliLead employee relations and work across OneHR /liliProvide leadership on employee and labour relations, including works council and trade-union engagement, disciplinary matters, workforce changes, and sensitive employee cases. /liliEnsure HR decisions and processes comply with Italian labour law, collective agreements, corporate policies, and ethical standards, working closely with Legal and Employee Relations. /liliPartner with EMEA HR, Centres of Excellence, Global Services, and OneHR Italy to deliver integrated solutions, simplify the employee experience, and improve HR processes through digitisation and intelligent automation. /li /ulh3Kay Experience Requirements /h3ulli8+ years experience as HR Business Partner or HR leadership experience in a complex, matrixed, and regulated organisation; pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life-sciences experience with local Italian market knowledge specifics. /liliProven ability to partner with senior business leaders and translate strategy into practical talent, organisation, culture, and workforce actions. /liliStrong knowledge of Italian employment legislation, employee and labour relations, collective bargaining, and the management of organisational change. /liliProficient English and Italian language capabilites. /liliDemonstrated experience leading talent reviews, succession planning, leadership development, performance management, and transformation initiatives end-to-end. /liliCommercial and financial acumen, with the confidence to use workforce analytics and insights to challenge and support business decisions. /liliExperience leveraging digital tools and AI, for example analytics, automation, or decision support, to improve HR outcomes and employee experience. /liliStrong stakeholder management, influencing, negotiation, and communication skills, including in sensitive or high-impact situations /liliA pragmatic, hands-on approach with strong execution discipline and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. /liliFluency in Italian and English. /li /ulh3What sets you apart /h3pYou balance strategic thinking with strong execution.
