Senior Security Researcher

On a strong growth trajectory, we are expanding our Security Research Team with exceptional researchers who want to work on offensive AI, autonomous exploitation systems, and next-generation security research at the intersection of cybersecurity and applied AI.

The role

We are looking for a Senior Security Researcher to join the Security Research Team and contribute to the evolution of Equixly's autonomous offensive security platform.

You will work on advanced offensive security research focused on AI-driven exploitation, autonomous attack systems, intelligent vulnerability discovery, and agentic security workflows for APIs and modern applications.

This is not a traditional pentesting or red teaming role. The focus is offensive R&D, attack automation, AI-assisted exploitation, and building the next generation of autonomous security capabilities.

What you will do

• Research and develop autonomous attack techniques for APIs and modern applications
• Design and improve AI-driven vulnerability discovery and exploitation workflows
• Work closely with the AI Team to improve offensive security agents and autonomous reasoning systems
• Build exploit automation logic, attack orchestration workflows, and intelligent testing capabilities
• Research emerging attack vectors, offensive AI techniques, and modern exploitation methodologies
• Improve vulnerability validation accuracy and reduce false positives through automated verification strategies
• Develop internal tooling, datasets, and evaluation methodologies for offensive AI systems
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to integrate new offensive security capabilities
• Stay current with advances in AI agents, API security, LLMs, and offensive security research

What we are looking for

• Strong background in offensive security, vulnerability research, or security research
• Solid understanding of API and web application security
• Experience with scripting languages
• Familiarity with AI systems, LLMs, or agentic workflows
• Good written and spoken English

Nice to have

• Experience with autonomous agents or AI-assisted security systems
• Knowledge of OWASP API Security Top 10 and modern application architectures
• Contributions to security research, CVEs, open source, or conference talks
