The Context: A "Startup" within a global Scale-up While Base.com is an established global player with over 400 employees, our Italian branch was born just 5 months ago! We operate locally with a fast-paced, startup mindset where we are actively building and expanding our foundation. Reporting directly to the Country Head, you will join our core local team and work alongside two experienced Implementation Specialists. We are looking for a dynamic, highly hands-on professional who wants to roll up their sleeves, execute on the front lines, and directly impact the success and growth of our local merchants.

In the role of Implementation Specialist, you will lead technical onboarding projects, helping new customers configure their Base.com account, integrate with their online stores and marketplaces, and get value from day one. You'll act as the trusted advisor throughout the implementation journey and ensure a smooth go-live experience for each customer.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage end-to-end onboarding projects for e-commerce clients in Italy.
• Conduct discovery calls to map client requirements, processes, and goals.
• Lead product walkthroughs, platform configuration, and API integrations with ERPs, shipping carriers, and marketplaces.
• Provide technical product training and onboarding support to merchants.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Support teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Troubleshoot integration issues and coordinate with developers when needed.
• Develop reusable implementation templates, guides, and help center articles.
• Contribute to customer success by driving adoption and helping clients optimize Base.com usage.

Requirements

• Min. 2+ years of experience in e-commerce implementation , SaaS onboarding, pre-sales, or solutions consulting
• Experience with ERP integration , order processing systems, or retail operations
• Understanding of e-commerce workflows , logistics, catalog and inventory management
• Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills
• Fluent in Italian and proficient in English
• Comfort working with APIs, platform configuration tools, or basic scripting (e.g., HTML, PHP)

Nice if you have

• Experience working as a Sales Engineer, Customer Success Engineer, or Technical Account Manager
• Familiarity with e- commerce automation, shipping software, POS systems, or CRM tools
• Has managed an e-shop before
• Knowledge of or previous experience with other e-commerce platforms in the market (direct competitors of Base.com).
• Startup experience and comfort working in fast-paced environments
• Coachable, agile and entrepreneurial

Benefits

• Contract: Permanent (Tempo Indeterminato, CCNL).
• Salary: €35.000 - €45.000 Gross Annual Salary (RAL) + Bonus, depending on experience.
