If you are excited about a role but don't meet every bullet point, we encourage you to apply and join us to create the extraordinary. /ppJob Summary Senior Systems Engineer – Medical Equipment Diagnostics will be based in Milan, Italy and will be responsible for leading system-level architecture definition and technical engagements for complex medical and diagnostic programs, while bringing innovative technologies and cross-domain expertise into client solutions. /ph3What a Typical Day Looks Like: /h3ulliLead technical workshops and customer-facing discussions with international clients, translating needs into system concepts /liliDefine and guide system architectures across feasibility, proof-of-concept, and development phases /liliCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electronics, controls, embedded software, sensors) /liliBuild rapid prototypes and technical demos to support validation and client engagement /liliIntegrate emerging technologies such as IVD systems, robotics, mechatronics, and embedded AI/ML /liliTranslate customer, regulatory, and business requirements into robust system and subsystem specifications /liliSupport development in key areas such as motor control, precision motion, thermal management, and sensor integration. /liliContribute to the technology roadmap and innovation direction /li /ulh3The Experience We’re Looking to Add to the Team: /h3ulliSenior experience in system engineering or complex product development in regulated industries. /liliStrong background in IVD, surgical systems, or advanced lab equipment. /liliSolid expertise in mechatronics, motor control, and sensor systems. /liliBroad cross-functional technical exposure across at least two domains (mechanical, electrical, embedded, controls, sensor algorithms). /liliFamiliarity with embedded AI / edge technologies is a plus. /liliStrong communication skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders (CTO, RD, VP level). /liliHands-on, self-driven mindset with the ability to independently develop solutions and prototypes. /liliAble to drive progress in situations with incomplete information and undefined system architectures. /liliMaster’s degree in Mechanical, Electronic, Mechatronics, Automation, Physics, or similar. /liliFull professional proficiency in English. /li /ulh3What You’ll Receive for the Great Work You Provide: /h3ulliOpportunity to work on cutting-edge medical and diagnostic technologies with global impact. /liliExposure to top-tier international clients and complex engineering challenges. /liliA highly collaborative and technically strong engineering environment. /liliCareer growth within a global organization and center of excellence. /liliCompetitive compensation package and benefits. /liliFlexible working model (predominantly on-site in Milan with hybrid flexibility). /liliInternational exposure through client interactions and travel opportunities. /li /ulpThe starting pay level offered for this position is 65.000 euro, determined in accordance with applicable legal requirements and aligned with the relevant Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL). The role is classified at Quadro under the Metalmeccanico CCNL, which establishes a guaranteed minimum salary level of 37,000 euro. A higher pay level is possible, proportional with candidate’s experience, within the limits of internal peer pay, to prevent pay inequities.
