It is responsible for defining and improving assembly and testing processes, supporting Operational Excellence initiatives, and ensuring manufacturing cost targets are achieved in collaboration with Engineering, Operations and Procurement. The role also supports CAPEX investments, production changes and technical issue resolution, develops manufacturing methods and procedures, ensures the required production documentation is available, and conducts Make vs Buy analyses. /p h3What kind of work will you be doing? /h3 ul liProvides all technical capabilities to Thermal manufacturing sites in order to execute NPI, productivity programs and other strategic projects for BUs, hence being the technical leadership for product manufacturing across EMEA SG BB IS plants. /li liDefines processes for product assembly and test. /li liWorks together with Engineering (RD), Site Operations Managers Procurement to ensure manufacturing target cost for products are met. /li liSupports the implementation of Operations Excellence projects across BUs in production. /li liResponsibility for CAPEX investment to meet company production targets. /li liWorks on specific tasks assigned by EMEA AME Director. /li liCreates assembly procedures for new products existing products to achieve improvements. /li liSupports production in managing changes for improvement. /li liEnsuring the availability of specific documentation required for pre-series special standard production. /li liIdentifies ways to reduce production costs and resolves technical issues in manufacturing. /li liDevelopment, evaluation, and improvement of manufacturing methods. /li liMake vs BUY analysis. /li /ul h3What will make you successful? /h3 ul liSchool Backgroundul liUniversity degree in Mechanical Engineering /li /ul /li liLanguage skillsul liExcellent written and spoken English with knowledge of the main technical language/words used in the relevant product application business. /li /ul /li liTechnical / Functional skillsul liMechanical drawings /li liElectrical drawings /li li2D 3D CAD (e.g. SW, SE, CREO) /li liPLM system (PD Cloud preferred) /li liERP systems (Oracle preferred) /li liBase knowledge of power converters, SWG /li /ul /li liSoft skillsul liGood team working attitude and communication /li liAnalysis /li liAbility to convert objectives in actions and results /li liManagement of times, activities and results /li liAvailability to travel /li /ul /li /ul pThe successful candidate will embrace Vertiv’s Core Principals Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities. /p h3OUR CORE PRINCIPALS: Safety. Certain roles may be eligible for variable compensation and benefits.
