Internship - Business Development Intern

Founded in 2017, OVRSEA is a next-generation freight forwarder that uses technology to simplify and optimize international transport for businesses. We support 700+ companies across 60 countries in their international freight shipments.

In January 2026, OVRSEA merged with the Fatton Lyseo group. This large-scale operation comes amid profound geopolitical, commercial, and technological shifts. Our ambition is clear: to build, through organic and external growth, a unified, agile, and sustainable French leader in logistics, capable of addressing new challenges in logistics control, operational performance, and technological disruption.

This merger brings together, under a single group, cutting-edge tech expertise, well-established historical know-how, and a dense network of locations across strategic geographies - with over 1,000 employees, 61 offices in 14 countries, and 120,000 m² of warehouse space - serving demanding clients in the luxury, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and food industries. The Italian Team

You will join a fast-growing team based in Milan, where our office opened just two years ago and is now entering a phase of strong acceleration. The team is led by Luigi, our Country Manager, and is structured into two parts: Sales, who drive our growth by selling our services, and Operations, who deliver our services by managing transportation from A to Z.

We operate as one team, Sales and Ops working closely together to grow our client base, open new verticals, and deliver an outstanding results. You will play a key role in taking our Italian clients operations to the next level.

Your missions

Lead generation (20%)

Develop the best prospecting techniques (LinkedIn, Hubspot, email...) to find relevant leads

Define and implement strategies to qualify leads efficiently

Identify key contacts and know everything about them before you talk to them

Prospecting and objection handling (70%)

Be resourceful and persistent in contacting identified targets

Be relevant in your approach to customers in order to get Sales Executives to meet with them

Improve our sales techniques (10%)

Measure conversion rates to identify areas for improvement and maximize your success

Document your approaches in our tools and our CRM (Salesforce) so that the whole team can benefit from what you learn from your customers

Be a driving force behind innovative approaches to prospecting using AI and automation tools

We're meant to work together if

• You are looking for a 6-month internship starting in January 2027, with the possibility of conversion to a full-time position
• You are native speaker in Italian and speak good English
• You have very good interpersonal skills, the soul of a hunter and value quality execution
• You are willing to learn and to grow very quickly in a Sales environment
• Having a first experience in marketing and/or sales, with ideally cold calling and prospecting activities, is a plus but not a must
