Join us in redefining the boundaries of what’s possible! /p h3Your role /h3 pWe are looking for an Audio System Engineer who will be part of the Smart Eyewear team, in particular the New Technologies Introduction (NTI) branch. He/she will be responsible of leading the acoustical design and integration of new audio system architecture and algorithms in our cutting-edge Smart Glasses. /p pHe/she will work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and product designers, to ensure our products deliver exceptional audio performance while maintaining a seamless and comfortable user experience. /p h3Main responsibilities: /h3 ul liLead the design of audio system architecture and algorithms, for providing the best user experience in the field of audio smart eyewear devices, including earing aids funtions. /li liStay up-to-date with the latest audio technology trends and incorporate innovative solutions into our products. /li liResearch acoustical technologies and transducers for implementation in eyewear frame. /li liDesign, prototyping, and characterization of smart eyewear devices implementing audio functionalities. /li liResponsible for modelling and tuning audio algorithms of prototype hardware to achieve the best audio performance to understand and formalize system requirements. /li liDefine functional and system requirements for new audio product. /li liCollaborate with software engineers to fine-tune audio algorithms and drivers for optimal user experience. /li liDaily interactions with product designers to come up with innovative system integration strategies. /li liRealization of proof-of-concepts in our RD labs. Carry out testing, debug and performance measurements with internal equipment or in collaboration with external suppliers. /li liInterface with our international network of collaborators and partners, remotely or on-site, to help ramp up production of our innovative products. /li liTest in the lab of prototypes and pre-series boards with oscilloscopes, multimeters, bench power supplies, function generators and active loads, working with FW engineers. /li liSupport product manufacturing and provide technical assistance during production phases. /li liParticipate in troubleshooting and problem-solving activities related to audio system issues. /li /ul h3Main requirements: /h3 ul liAttitude to read, understand and write technical documentation (requirements, specifications, reports, analyses, etc). /li liExperience with audio system design, including simulation and fast prototyping. /li liExperience with mechanical design for audio transducers. /li liExperience with digital and analog hardware design (cad tools, simulation, design-for-manufacturing). /li liProficiency in audio signal processing and algorithm development. /li liStrong understanding of acoustics and audio measurement techniques. /li liFamiliar with rapid prototyping and hands-on attitude. /li liExperience with microcontrollers/system-on-chip and most common communication busses (SPI, I2C, UART, MIPI, USB) will be a plus. /li liExperience with DSP audio development will be a plus (e.g., Tensilica Hifi5). /li liAbility to work in a dynamic multicultural team where you will collaborate with members having different backgrounds and from different time zones. /li liAttitude to problem solving and to achieve results within challenging time and cost constraints. /li liFluency in both Italian and English is required /li /ul h3What’s in it for you /h3 pIn EssilorLuxottica, you are not defined just by your job title.
