Cyber Security Specialist

QUANTYX

The Company

Quantyx Advisors is an innovative, fast-growing fintech company specialised in risk management, ICT risk and valuation consultancy for private markets. We combine proprietary technology with advisory services, developing our own software platforms while supporting asset managers and financial intermediaries in measuring, monitoring and governing their risks.

Our work spans two complementary pillars: internally developed products — including our Quantyx Risk Manager (QRM) platform and a suite of ICT risk tools — and regulatory and risk-advisory services delivered to a client base composed primarily of asset management companies (SGRs) and other supervised financial intermediaries.

The Role

We are looking for a junior Cyber Security Specialist to join our team and support both our technological growth and our advisory business. On the product side, you will help keep our internally developed platforms (QRM and our ICT risk tools) secure and aligned with the ISO/IEC 27001 framework. On the consulting side, you will contribute to engagements focused on measuring and monitoring ICT and cyber risk for our clients, with particular reference to the DORA regulation and the supervisory expectations applicable to SGRs and financial intermediaries.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Information Security (internal)

•    Support the IT Manager in identifying, monitoring and mitigating cybersecurity risks across our internally developed products.

•    Assist in the implementation, configuration and maintenance of IT security controls and systems.

•    Contribute to the maintenance and continuous improvement of our ISO/IEC 27001 Information Security Management System, including documentation, controls and evidence collection.

•    Take part in internal risk assessments and security audits, supporting remediation and follow-up.

•    Monitor risks arising from new and emerging technologies (e.g. artificial intelligence) and help translate them into practical safeguards.

ICT Risk Advisory (external / client-facing)

•    Support consulting engagements focused on the measurement and monitoring of ICT and cyber risk for clients, primarily asset management companies (SGRs) and supervised financial intermediaries.

•    Contribute to DORA (Digital Operational Resilience Act) readiness and compliance activities, including ICT risk management framework reviews, third-party risk and incident-management processes.

•    Assist in preparing risk assessments, gap analyses and deliverables aligned with supervisory expectations on ICT risk for SGRs and financial intermediaries.

•    Help produce clear, well-structured documentation and reports for clients and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

•    Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity or a related field.

•   1–2 years’ experience

•    Familiarity with cybersecurity and information security best practices and frameworks (e.g. ISO/IEC 27001, NIST).

•    Interest in the regulatory dimension of ICT risk in the financial sector (DORA, supervisory guidance) — prior exposure is a plus.

•    Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.

•    Fluent in English (written and spoken); Italian is an advantage.

•    Good communication and organisational skills.

Annual Gross Salary

The annual gross salary will range from €29,000 to €32,000, based on actual work experience and the skills demonstrated during the interview; an annual bonus equal to 15% of the annual gross salary is also provided.
