Product Specialist - Internship

ppAre you passionate about professional lighting and would you like to turn that passion into a profession? This internship is designed as a first step towards the Product Specialist role, even without previous experience: a path to learn how to follow products from concept to development, all the way to promotion and use in the field. Music Lights designs, manufactures and distributes professional lighting solutions for the Film TV, Live Events, Theatre and Architectural markets, used in more than 70 countries. You will join the product engineering area, in an international environment, with continuous training and the support of experienced colleagues. /p pFind out more about our working environment and benefits in the Career section: /p h3bAbout the role /b /h3 pYou will take part in a 6-month training path at our HQ in Minturno (LT), with a dedicated tutor and an individual training plan, designed to grow gradually towards the Product Specialist role. You will work alongside the product team on defining specifications, testing and debugging firmware, software and user interfaces, and gathering feedback from customers and the sales network to report back to RD. As the path progresses you will also be involved in demonstration activities alongside the team, at customers and suppliers and at industry trade shows and events. /p h3bKey responsibilities /b /h3 ul liWork alongside the team on defining and reviewing functional requirements and SoW (Statement of Work), learning to read technical specifications, menu architecture and DMX control. /li liTake part in testing and debugging firmware, software, user interfaces and control menus, contributing to the technical reports on the results. /li liContribute to comparison tests between Music Lights products and those of competitors, learning to document strengths and areas for improvement. /li liSupport the collection and analysis of feedback from customers and the sales network and its reporting to RD for future product development. /li liWork alongside colleagues in sales, marketing, documentation and customer service to prepare technical data, materials and product demos. /li /ul h3bRequirements /b /h3 ul liPassion for professional lighting and for the Concert Touring, Theatre and Broadcast/TV sectors; experience gained as an enthusiast or during studies is appreciated but not required. /li liBasic knowledge of lighting control systems (e.g. grandMA3 or equivalent), including knowledge gained through training or personal projects. /li liBasic understanding of computer networks. /li liCuriosity about the lighting market: products, brands and industry trends. /li liEnglish at B1 level, with the willingness to develop it through contact with customers and international teams. /li liIT skills: Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email and calendar management. /li liInterest in the professional use of AI tools (e.g. Claude). /li liAvailability for occasional travel in Italy and abroad, alongside the team. /li /ul h3bPreferred skills /b /h3 ul liTechnical background in electronics, IT or performing arts technology (preferred, not essential). /li liKnowledge of network protocols for lighting and video (sACN, Art-Net, NDI). /li liFirst experience with show visualisation software (e.g. Depence2, Capture) or BIM software (e.g. Vectorworks). /li liFamiliarity with video technologies: LED screens and media servers. /li /ul h3bSoft skills /b /h3 ul liWillingness to learn, curiosity and a proactive attitude. /li liGood communication skills and interest in testing yourself in public speaking. /li liAccuracy and attention to detail. /li liProblem-solving mindset and teamwork. /li /ul h3bContract and compensation /b /h3 ul liPath: 6-month internship (3+3), with a dedicated tutor and an individual training plan. /li liMonthly allowance: €800 per month for the first 3 months, €1,000 per month for the following 3. /li liBenefits: company canteen and company gym. /li /ul pThe internship is designed to lead to employment under an apprendistato professionalizzante (professional apprenticeship) contract, a path leading to the full role of Product Specialist. /p h3bOpen applications /b /h3 pWe also give careful consideration to applications that do not meet every requirement listed: for highly motivated candidates we offer training and onboarding paths to grow into the full scope of the role. /p pFor more information write to: /p pMusic Lights Srl values talent and diversity and is committed to offering equal opportunities for growth.
