Project Manager – R&D (Toyota Material Handling Manufacturing Italy SpA)We are looking for a Project Manager with a software or systems background to join the R&D department in Bologna.The role involves leading cross‑functional and international teams and managing R&D projects from concept to start of production, ensuring alignment with time, quality, scope, and cost targets in accordance with Toyota processes.Qualifications / Requirements
Degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electronics, or equivalent2 years of experience in Project Management, software R&D environments is a plusExperience with software development lifecycle (Agile or hybrid models)Project Management certifications (PMP, CSM, PRINCE2) are a plusProficient in using Git and DevOps, to maintain stable, collaborative, and efficient R&D codebases is a plusProficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and MS ProjectOrganized, proactive, and structured mindset
Key Responsibilities
Lead R&D projectsCoordinate the work of R&D teams (software, electronic, mechanic) with other corporate functions throughout the project development process.Plan, monitor, and report project activities and milestonesEnsure alignment with Toyota New Product Development processesSupport continuous improvement of project management practices
In this role, the identified candidate will have the opportunity to:
Learn and work in an international environment, with daily contact with Toyota companies worldwideSupport and apply Toyota R&D practicesWork in close and continuous collaboration with Research teamsManage projects according to the Toyota New Product Development processGain a broad overview of company departments and R&D activities
