We connect 200 million shoppers with deals they love while boosting local sales for hundreds of top retailers and brands. /p pWe help consumers save time and money while making smart shopping decisions, and we support retailers and brands in engaging customers from online research to in-store purchases. /p pReady to bspark /b your growth with us? /p h3WHO WE LOOK FOR /h3 pWe are looking for a bSenior Software Engineer /b to join our bAudience Platform team /b within Ad Products. /p pIn this role, you will own and extend the high-throughput, low-latency backend systems, event-driven architectures, and distributed data pipelines powering 1P, 2P, and 3P audience data for Flipp and Shopfully. /p pWe are looking for a high-autonomy senior contributor who doesn't just write code, but bowns /b production services end-to-end, drives system design decisions, scales core tables running into tens of billions of rows, and leverages cutting-edge AI tools to maximize engineering throughput. /p pIf you are passionate about backend engineering, low-latency architectures, data at scale, and ad-tech innovation, this role is for you! /p h3WHAT YOU WILL DO /h3 ul libOwn Extend the Audience Platform: /b Architect, build, and scale core backend systems including the Audience API, Audience Kafka Topics, User Profile API, Audience Management UI, and 2P/3P data ingestion infrastructure. /li libDrive Integrations Data Pipelines: /b Build and maintain high-volume activation platform integrations (e.g., DV360, Braze, TTD) and collaborate on Databricks segmentation pipelines and core data tables running into tens of billions of rows. /li libEnsure High Performance Observability: /b Design and operate low-latency, high-throughput microservices using Go, gRPC/Protobuf, and REST+OpenAPI, maintaining end-to-end service observability and APM via Datadog and Datadog OnCall. /li libSupport ML AI Workstreams /b: Partner with Machine Learning Engineers and Data Scientists to support models (IAB Segmentation Model, Retailer/Category Affinity Segments) and integrate AI-assisted development practices (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code) into day-to-day engineering workflows. /li libPrivacy Compliance: /b Plan and execute technical initiatives with strict adherence to data regulatory laws (GDPR, CCPA, consent management). /li libTechnical Leadership Execution: /b Lead large-scale, cross-functional engineering initiatives from design to execution, contributing directly to team and company OKRs (including driving $7M+ in targeting revenue). /li libCross-Functional Collaboration: /b Partner closely with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, Data Engineers, and cross-departmental stakeholders (Ad Supply, Ad Demand, Programmatic, Marketing Science). /li /ul h3WHAT YOU WILL NEED /h3 ul li5+ years of backend/distributed systems engineering experience, ideally in Go (the team's primary language for high-throughput, low-latency services). /li liProduction experience with Kafka-based event-driven architecture (Confluent Kafka). /li liHands-on experience with Python or Scala, and strong SQL skills. /li liProven track record of owning a production service end-to-end, including on-call rotation. /li liComfort with distributed data pipelines at scale and experience designing/operating gRPC/Protobuf and REST+OpenAPI services. /li liContainer orchestration Cloud fluency: Experience with AWS and Kubernetes (EKS). /li liActive use of AI coding agents (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code) to increase personal development throughput. /li liHigh autonomy in ambiguity and ability to communicate technical designs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. /li liFluent in English with ability to provide overlap availability into North American hours (9am to 12pm EST). /li /ul pAt our company, we value diversity and actively encourage it — we believe a variety of perspectives and backgrounds makes us stronger.
