Platform Engineer Role Details

In this role, you will be instrumental in building and executing the platform services to automate infrastructure and deployment pipelines, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and reliability across cloud environments. /ph3Location /h3pTurin, Italy ( Hybrid during six month onboarding, then Smart Working ) /ph3Key Responsibilities /h3ulliAutomation Focus: Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts, tools and platforms (i.e. Mzinga.io) to streamline software development, testing, and deployment processes. /liliInfrastructure as Code ( IaC ): Implement and manage infrastructure as code modules and templates, using bTerraform, /b across various cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP). /liliContainer Orchestration: Deploy and manage containerized applications using bKubernetes /b, ensuring high availability and scalability, designing and implementing the deployment model (i.e. Helm Charts) working closely connected with the application development team. /liliGitOps Implementation: Utilize Flux or bArgoCD /b for declarative, Git-centric continuous delivery to Kubernetes clusters, using Kustomize and Helm. /liliCI/CD Pipeline Development: Build, maintain, and optimize robust CI/CD pipelines using bGitLab /b CI/CD, bGitHub /b Actions, and bAzure DevOps /b to enable rapid and reliable software delivery. /liliCollaboration: Work closely with development and operations teams to identify and implement DevOps best practices. /liliMonitoring Logging: Assist in setting up and maintaining monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure optimal observability of the health and performance of our applications and infrastructure. /liliTroubleshooting: Participate in troubleshooting and resolving application, infrastructure and deployment-related issues. /liliDocumentation: Create and maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for processes and tools. /li /ulh3Required Skills and Experience /h3ullibMinimum of 3 years of professional experience in Software or Platform Development /b /liliSolid understanding of DevOps principles and methodologies. /liliHands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning. /liliPractical experience with at least one major cloud provider (Azure, AWS, or GCP); familiarity with multiple is a strong plus. /liliExperience with Kubernetes for container orchestration. /liliFamiliarity with ArgoCD or other GitOps tools. /liliExperience in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps. /liliProficiency in programming languages (e.g. NodeJS, NetCore) /liliExperience with version control systems, especially Git. /lilibProficiency in English /b(written and spoken) band Italian /b(written and spoken) is essential. /li /ulh3Nice to Have /h3ullib1-2 years of practical experience in a DevOps, SRE, or similar role. /b /liliProficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash). /liliKnowledge of networking concepts and management of Linux systems. /liliExperience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack). /liliUnderstanding of security best practices in cloud environments. /li /ulh3About Us /h3pNewesis srl is an Italian technology company based in Turin, specializing in cutting-edge infrastructure and technological architecture.
