We believe in equal opportunities and fair pay practices. /p pLearn more about working with us at /p pbTopcon Positioning Group /b | Hybrid in Italy with collaboration at Concordia sulla Secchia, Modena office /p pReady to build software that makes an impact in the real world? /p pTopcon is looking for a bSenior Software Engineer, Field Survey Applications (C++) /b to join our Field Software team and contribute to advanced applications used by surveyors, engineers and construction professionals worldwide. /p pIn this role, you will work on cross-platform software that connects directly with GNSS receivers, robotic total stations, laser range finders and other field devices, helping users collect, process and apply precise positioning data in demanding field environments. /p h3What you will do /h3 ul liDesign, develop and maintain field survey applications for Windows, Linux, Android and iOS using C++, Qt and QML. /li liBuild reliable software modules for data collection, device communication, positioning workflows and field operations. /li liIntegrate Topcon and third-party equipment including GNSS receivers, robotic total stations, laser range finders and other connected devices. /li liAnalyse technical requirements, estimate development effort and contribute to planning, prioritisation and delivery decisions. /li liSupport the full software lifecycle architecture, coding, debugging, testing, documentation, release support and continuous improvement. /li liTroubleshoot complex software and hardware-integration issues, translating field feedback into robust technical solutions. /li liCollaborate closely with project managers, team leaders, QA, product teams and international engineering colleagues. /li liContribute to code quality, internal best practices, tool improvements and scalable software processes. /li /ul h3What we are looking for /h3 ul lib3+ years of professional C++ software development experience, ideally in complex technical or product environments. /b /li liHands-on experience with Qt and/or QML for cross-platform application development. /li liStrong understanding of object-oriented programming, software design principles, algorithms, data structures and multithreaded development. /li liExperience developing for Windows; exposure to Linux, Android or iOS is considered a strong plus. /li liFamiliarity with communication protocols, hardware interfaces, debugging tools, version control, bug tracking and CI/CD practices. /li liInterest or experience in, geodesy, topography, optical survey, CAD/GIS, spatial algorithms or construction technology would be highly valuable. /li libGood written and spoken English /b; Italian is helpful but not essential. /li /ul h3WHY JOIN TOPCON /h3 pJoin a global technology company where software, precision positioning and field innovation come together.
