Project Developer Specialist

Reporting to: Sr Project Development Manager

Based in: Roma, Italy

The selected professional will oversee end-to-end solar project development, ensuring regulatory compliance, stakeholder coordination, budget adherence, and timely transition to Ready-to-Build status.

What will you do?

• Oversee all stages of solar project development, from land acquisition and permits to Ready-to-Build status, ensuring compliance with regulations and timelines.
• Maintain strong relationships with local authorities, suppliers, consultants, and internal departments to secure smooth project execution and timely payments.
• Optimize project layouts and coordinate closely with technical teams, ensuring cost-effective designs and production efficiency.
• Prepare, review, and lead applications for environmental and building permits, manage RFPs, and negotiate contracts for land, services, and interconnections.
• Monitor budgets, subcontractor performance, project schedules, and regulatory changes, providing regular status updates to stakeholders and ensuring adherence to company policies.

What do we need?

• 3-5 years of experience in power/renewable energy development, with knowledge of PV sector regulations and market policies.
• Degree in Engineering, Law, or Economics, with fluency in English and prior experience in the renewable energy industry.
• Apply critical thinking, decision-making, negotiation, and persuasion to effectively address problems and reconcile differences.
• Manage time efficiently for self and team, ensuring tasks are completed within deadlines.
• Utilize deductive and inductive reasoning to identify relationships and derive meaningful conclusions from diverse information.
• Strong communication skills in English and Italian.
