Head of People & Labour Relations Italy (9-month Fixed Term Contract)

Overview

The Head of People & Labour Relations Italy is a 9‑month fixed‑term contract focused on supporting employee and labour relations across Italy. The role works closely with business units to shape the LR/ER agenda, manage complex cases, lead strategic projects, develop policies, and drive people initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide labour and employee relations advice and guidance across Italy, handling escalated cases.
• Manage strategic projects related to People & Labour Relations strategy across all business units.
• Develop and implement HR policy framework for Italy, aligning with global guidance.
• Lead country HR governance processes and align HR issues with strategy.
• Enhance organisational capability through partnership with HR and business units.
• Roll out and implement employee‑related investigations policies and processes.
• Provide counsel on complex employee relations issues.
• Lead local processes, tools, and training related to employee relations.
• Investigate complex (escalated) cases involving senior managers.
• Communicate the global labour relations strategy regionally and locally.
• Support the deployment of global systems across the region.
• Provide end‑to‑end project management for regional and global initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in labour or employment law.
• At least 5 years of experience in Labour and/or Employee Relations with proven thought‑leadership.
• Experience in a complex multi‑country HR organisation, especially in health‑care or pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong knowledge of employment regulations and labour law across multiple geographies.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to influence cross‑stakeholder groups.
• Proficiency in multiple languages.
• Partnering and collaboration skills to create sustainable processes.
• HR project management experience is desirable.

Locations: Rome, Pisa, Rieti. Base Salary Range: €98,000.00 – €134,200.00.
