Job Description

The Chief Technology Officer will be responsible for defining and leading the company's technology strategy, ensuring alignment between business objectives, product development and scalable technology execution.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Define and implement the overall technology vision, roadmap and architecture for the platform and its portfolio initiatives.
• Lead the development of software products, AI-enabled solutions and digital platforms from concept to deployment.
• Translate business opportunities, use cases and investment theses into concrete technology roadmaps.
• Oversee the design and delivery of MVPs, prototypes and scalable products, ensuring quality, security, reliability and speed of execution.
• Build, structure and lead internal and external technology teams, including software engineers, AI specialists, data professionals and technology partners.
• Evaluate and select the most appropriate technologies, frameworks, tools and vendors to support product development and platform scalability.
• Ensure robust technology governance, including cybersecurity, data management, privacy, infrastructure and development standards.
• Support technical due diligence, technology assessment and make-or-buy decisions for new initiatives or investment opportunities.
• Work closely with founders, investment professionals, business leaders and external partners to identify technology-driven value creation opportunities.
• Foster a culture of innovation, ownership, execution and continuous improvement across the technology function.
• Represent the company's technology vision with investors, partners and relevant stakeholders when required.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Chief Technology Officer should have:

• Significant experience in technology leadership roles such as CTO, Head of Engineering, VP Engineering, Technology Director or similar positions.
• Strong background in software engineering, digital product development and scalable technology architecture.
• Proven experience in building or scaling software products, digital platforms or AI-driven solutions.
• Solid understanding of artificial intelligence, generative AI, data architecture and their practical application in business contexts.
• Experience in high-growth, entrepreneurial or investment-backed environments, such as scale-ups, venture builders, technology companies, digital platforms or advanced consulting environments.
• Ability to combine strategic vision with hands‑on execution, especially in early‑stage or fast‑evolving contexts.
• Strong leadership skills, with experience managing internal teams, external partners and multidisciplinary stakeholders.
• Excellent ability to translate complex technology topics into clear business implications.
• Strong problem-solving mindset, pragmatic approach and high level of ownership.
• Fluency in English and Italian.
