Electrical Package Manager

Our client is a leading international real estate developer, owner, and investor with a rapidly expanding data centre platform across Europe. With a strong track record delivering large-scale logistics and digital infrastructure developments, they are investing heavily in hyperscale and mission-critical facilities to support the growing demands of cloud and AI technologies.

As part of their continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Electrical Package Manager to join their project team in Milan and take ownership of the electrical infrastructure package on a major data centre development.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the delivery of the electrical package from design and procurement through construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Manage critical electrical systems including MV/LV distribution, UPS systems, generators, switchgear, transformers, and associated infrastructure.
• Review and coordinate contractor and consultant designs to ensure solutions are buildable, commissionable, and aligned with project requirements.
• Identify opportunities for design optimisation, value engineering, and prefabrication.
• Support procurement activities, including technical review of contractor and supplier tender submissions.
• Coordinate closely with contractors, consultants, commissioning teams, and internal stakeholders throughout project delivery.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure programme milestones are achieved.
• Ensure all electrical works are delivered safely, to the required quality standards, and in compliance with project specifications.
• Support commissioning activities, integrated systems testing, and operational readiness processes.
• Manage snagging, defect resolution, and final handover documentation to ensure a successful project closeout.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements.
• Provide regular package reporting, progress updates, and risk assessments to project leadership teams.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience delivering electrical packages on large-scale construction, mission-critical, or data centre projects.
• Strong knowledge of MV/LV systems, UPS, generators, switchgear, and critical power infrastructure.
• Experience managing contractors, consultants, and specialist vendors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Understanding of commissioning, testing, and handover processes within mission-critical environments.
• Proven track record delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work within fast-paced project environments and manage multiple priorities.

Desirable

• Previous hyperscale or large-scale data centre experience.
• Client-side or developer-side project experience.
• Experience with Integrated Systems Testing (IST) and commissioning management.
• Health & Safety qualifications or relevant management training.
