Supplier Quality Engineer

Overview

In this role you will drive supplier quality improvement and risk prevention, coordinating with cross-functional teams to qualify parts and monitor supplier performance. You lead containment, corrective and preventive actions using structured methods, and supervise supplier qualification activities across PPAP and APQP processes. You coach suppliers, conduct process audits, and ensure compliance with SSQM guidelines to sustain quality and supplier performance. This position offers impact at scale within a global, sustainability-focused organization.Responsibilities

• Drive supplier quality improvement and risk prevention by coordinating with cross‑functional teams.
• Lead containment, corrective and preventive actions (8D) for plant quality issues with supplier involvement.
• Coordinate and supervise supplier qualification activities across PPAP and APQP processes.
• Coach suppliers and conduct process audits, ensuring compliance with SSQM guidelines.
• Manage supplier derogations and SPCN animations when the plant is impacted.
• Be data‑owner for the Quality Domain (QCO), handling data across SAP and related tools.
• Lead the End‑to‑End PPAP flow, ensuring PSW sign‑off before mass production.
• Coordinate with RSQD, PPM, SSL for supplier roadblocks and escalations.
• Lead SE process audits and PFMEA collaboration with RSQD.
• Overlap with Tooling & Technology to manage supplier qualification status and SE tool usage.

Qualifications

• Full proficiency in Italian and English.
• Ability to work in a complex, matrix organization.
• Strong negotiation skills with suppliers to meet quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
• Solid knowledge and hands‑on PPAP experience.
• Experience in claim management and coordinating corrective actions with stakeholders.
• Familiarity with 8D problem‑solving and FMEA risk analysis tools.
