Others define them. /p pIf you're a Project Quantity Surveyor looking to work on one of Europe's most advanced data centre developments, this is an opportunity to join a business that continues to set the standard for complex engineering project delivery across the continent. /p pKirby Group Engineering is seeking an ambitious and commercially astute Project Quantity Surveyor to join a flagship data centre project in Milan. You'll play a key role in managing the commercial performance of the project from early delivery stages through to final account, working alongside experienced commercial, operational and project delivery teams. /p pThis is a role for someone who enjoys taking ownership, influencing commercial outcomes and being part of a team delivering critical infrastructure at the highest level. /p h3The Role /h3 pAs Project Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for maximising the commercial performance of the project while ensuring contractual obligations are effectively managed. /p pWorking closely with the Commercial Manager and project delivery teams, you will oversee cost control, subcontractor management, valuations, forecasting, reporting and change management throughout the project lifecycle. /p pThis is a hands‑on role where your commercial judgement, attention to detail and ability to build strong relationships will directly contribute to project success. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liManage commercial aspects of the project from procurement through to final account /li liPrepare budgets, cost reports, forecasts, BOQs and profit plans /li liProduce accurate commercial reporting and provide detailed project updates to senior stakeholders /li liManage subcontractor procurement, valuations, payments and final accounts /li liEnsure all subcontractor accounts are administered in accordance with agreed contractual terms /li liPrepare and submit interim valuations, applications for payment and final account submissions /li liManage remeasurement activities, variations, compensation events, dayworks and change orders /li liIdentify and commercially manage project change throughout the construction lifecycle /li liMonitor labour and material cost movements and identify potential commercial impacts /li liSupport contract administration and ensure compliance with client requirements /li liWork closely with planning and project teams to ensure accurate progress reporting and forecasting /li liMaintain accurate cost records and commercial documentation /li liIdentify commercial risks and ensure they are escalated appropriately with recommended mitigation strategies /li liSupport negotiations with clients, consultants and subcontractors as required /li liAssist in driving cash flow performance and commercial outcomes across the project /li liContribute to project reviews, forecasting exercises and commercial strategy discussions /li /ul h3What We're Looking For /h3 ul liDegree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline /li liPrevious experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Project Quantity Surveyor within construction, engineering, MEP or data centre environments /li liStrong understanding of contract administration and commercial management processes /li liExperience managing subcontractor accounts and payment applications /li liKnowledge of variations, claims, final accounts and change management procedures /li liStrong commercial awareness and financial acumen /li liExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills /li liAbility to work independently while contributing effectively within a project team /li liStrong organisational skills and attention to detail /li liExperience on large-scale data centre, pharmaceutical, industrial or mission‑critical projects would be highly advantageous /li /ul h3What's On Offer /h3 ul liOpportunity to work on a landmark data centre project in Milan /li liCompetitive salary and benefits package /li liStructured career development and progression opportunities /li liExposure to major international clients and projects /li liOngoing professional and leadership development /li liSupportive and collaborative working environment /li liLong-term opportunities within a rapidly growing European business /li /ul h3Interested? /h3 pIf you're looking for a role where you can take ownership, develop your commercial expertise and contribute to the successful delivery of one of Europe's most significant data centre projects, we'd love to hear from you. /p pJoin Kirby Group Engineering and be part of a team delivering the infrastructure that powers the digital world. /p pFor more information on this role, or other Construction / Engineering opportunities across Ireland, the UK, Europe, or South Africa please review our careers page (Vacancies - Kirby Group Careers) or contact the Talent Acquisition Team at Kirby Group in confidence on +353 (0) . /p pKirby Group Engineering is an equal opportunities employer.
